Needed to get this photo on here before I drink it all up. HB Helles Bock, turned out pretty good.

How is the flavor with the red X? Interested to understand the characteristics at this ratio, looks great!70% red X malt, 30% 2 row with Mosaic hops.
It could use a little more on the hop side and a dry hop would help. Not my best, but not my worst.
It's not as malty as I thought it was going to be. Of you haven't already, read the thread on red x malt. After reading that thread I decided not to use 100% red x as it sounded like it might be a little too sweet. How is the flavor with the red X? nice ! I might pop into this Irish pub for a pintLet's get the party started. It's lunch time and beerthirty. So an Italian Sausage/Roast Beef combo and a Ghost Train IPA outta do the job.View attachment 772220
Black and tans are the bomb
Congrats... on both counts.Yesterday was our baby girl's first birthday, and I couldn't be more proud.... of my first long-term aged mixed fermentation sour beer that I incidentally just tasted for the first time. It's just about perfect, except that it's hazy for some reason. But that ripe red fruit, the snappy acidity mixing with a complex malt sweetness - that's exactly what I was hoping for.
What went wrong?Latest batch of hefeweizen. Didn’t go as planned but it’s still pretty good!
