Hi, new old brewer who just got back into it after a thirty year hiatus. Currently just buying all the stuff i need to start again. My pension doesn't keep abreast of taxes and inflation so i decided to revisit home brewing.I'm a widower and a veteran who's just running down the clock. A pint of Guinness costs 10 bucks at the pub. I figure i can do it cheaper. Lol!

I think that is how we all started out LOL. "Oh it totally is cheaper if I do it myself." A couple of hundred dollars and months of reading later and what was supposed to be an easy to enter hobby is now causing the rolling of eyes around me. But still worth it. I love to drink my own beer and not have to always go to the pub for a beer. Not that I don't mind making that necessary social trip to meet up with my buddies.
