crazy site computer said someone already was using "MY" name

I suspect, It is actually ME the site computer is talking about.
since I am a member on 2 of this sites sister sites

Can a MOD fix this?

You got me. I admit. The curiosity is killing me now.

I think it was regarding my post about abusing ellipses. There's one poster in particular whose combination of pompousness and overuse of it drives me nuts. I've stopped clicking on anything I can see he\she posted on

If it's the member that I think it might be, I'm in the same boat. Not because of the ellipses though. I can't stand reading the run-on sentences that have nothing to do with the topic. And all the gloating about his/her process and equipment. Complete avoidance for me. Until they start commenting on this thread, it's the only one I won't ignore once she/he has commented.

I was under the impression that this is a discussion group. Had I thought it was an Written English Exam I would never have posted anything. Due to a very active draft board along with other obstacles, many of us were denied the opportunity of becoming career students.

Also, this thread is in the sub-forum, "Drunken Ramblings and Mindless Mumbling." Not really sure what part of that, or the title, "Your favorite type of post-er on HBT," gave you the impression this was a discussion group.

No problem. I was under the impression that HBT is a discussion group. Sorry about that.

I love the Grammar Nazi myself, pithy or pity ? one or the other

where does grammer come into play in a forum called drunkin ramblings ETC.

the very nature of the forum suggest misspelling and slurred words with run on sentences

Oh, yeah, for sure, it is that. In this particular thread, we are, admittedly in a particularly sarcastic manner, discussing our favorite type of post-er on HBT.

Never mind.

I've been speaking East Texas English for 66 years. Who's to say my way ain't right and everybody else is wrong?

Edit: ? not .

Some advice that may help you out in your future conquests on this site: You don't actually have to click on threads that might sound like they're gonna be annoying to you. And then you especially don't have to comment on them once you realize that it was, in fact, an annoying thread.

Turn on the evening news (network, not local) and listen to the anchors. Do the same for all the networks: ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, Fox, etc. How many Texas twangs do you hear? Even Dan Rather had to ditch his drawl before they let him into the big time.

In all fairness, you won't hear a New England, New York or Minnesota accent there, either. :D They want a "neutral" sound, like Chicago or Omaha.

Don't have no need to be talking like a dang ole tv set.:)
Besides if I did that I might notice the Texas homebrew extract twang in my beer. LOL

y'all Texans cut your cheese in the shape of your state. Wyoming does that too. when I cut cheese, it clears rooms. that's how it's done right. #berrypawnch365
