At home now because I just got back from an appointment with my audiologist in Denver this morning to make some adjustments to my new hearing aids. ‘Tis the season.

I am not a fan of canned beer. But I love Cigar City's Jai Alia IPA. So I picked up a six pack in cans on my way out of town a couple of weeks ago. (I'm spending some time up in Alabama) I ordered a sixtel and had my son bring it to me over the weekend. I wanted to sample them side by side to see if my assumption was correct that on draft Jia Alia is substantially better than the canned Jia Alia. I am 100% correct. The canned beer has an off taste from the paint that the cans are sprayed with at the factory. Additionally the quality is diminished due to the small volume in the can opposed to the much larger keg.20220311_192747.jpg20220311_211923.jpg
First glass of course was a bit fuzzy but oh so good.

Last night was our last night at the beach and after that growler of 9.6% BA Porter I was about wiped. This was after that. A slightly pricey (for us $30 for bubbly is high compared to 9.99 Aldi Prosecco) bottle of Rosé Bubbly to celebrate my wife starting her new job Monday.

I haven’t had that one. One day…
I really enjoy RedBreast. Especially the barrels. Brings out the green oily.

I bought a couple of bottles I liked it so much. I was lucky to catch a mislabeling mistake on my recent visit. During the holidays its close to the base version. I got a Portugal Port version that's suppose to be incredible but haven't found the right time to crack it open.

I got a sweet spot for RedBreast. Bought a glass, barrel bottle package with a virtual tasting with the top people at the distillery. It was at the beginning of the pandemic. Was a good time. Got roasted in my living room Figured everyone else were doing virtual tastings and jumped at that one.
