Did you try it before back sweetening it? I find that with SafCider it retains enough apple flavor to not need to add more; however, it would be interesting to try. You're kegging yours, yah?

I did try a sample before back sweetening and while it was good, I prefer the back sweetened version. Yes I kegged this batch.

Currently enjoying a local milk stout as I watch the Avs play the Dead Things err... I mean Red Wings. Go Avs!

End of my NEIPA...bad pic but Iwanted to document this massive cool whip like head from the carafoam. This is 5 minutes after pouring.View attachment 669134

Yeah now that I have a keg I may try the backsweetening. What's the ratio or cans (?) to gallons that you used?

HB NEIPA (sample)
I brewed this beer last Thursday, fermented it with hornindal at 92, and just transferred and carbed it this morning. It’s 4 and a half days from pitching the yeast and already quite good. I have to say that I definitely prefer 1318 or Conan for NEIPAs, but these kveiks are pretty amazing and fun to play with.

El Dorado, Mosaic cryo, Simcoe cryo

2-row, white wheat, Carapils, honey malt

7.6% abv

If you see it around, try the DDH Crowd Control. Quite different from what I remember of the original and very tasty

I see the regular version once in a while at the grocery stores but most times they are past 3-4 months old and i don't usually buy anything past 3 months. I'll have to keep an eye out for the DDH version at restaurants I go to.
The one I posted the photo of was on tap at one of the casino's on the Gulf Coast and it was pretty good. I plan on trying to visit the brewery when I have a chance to make it up in that area. It would be about a 3 hr drive for me.
