People said great things about decanting mamouche, I never did it with a fresh bottle but I did decant a 2012 vintage a few months ago and while I did pick up some of a green pepper type of thing, i think it did improve. Past the pepper it was floral qualities for days. I'd say it improves that specific lambic.

Can't speak on 50n....never had sadly.
good to know, ty

As others have stated it sounds like bottle variation as this '14 I'm currently quaffing is wonderful.

That's easily the most pretentious thing I've ever said (typed?).

Opened a '14 this weekend and it was absolutely fantastic as well. The apricot presence was great.

A box I ordered and had shipped around the 10th seems to have been detained in customs for several days, but now says "Inbound out of Customs" as of 6pm last night. any idea what that means?

May 2011 mamouche is ******* fantastic right now. 0 pickle. So integrated. Many sours. I can't envision this bottling getting any better. Drink em if ya got em.

Or trade them to me.... It is my wife's favorite beer after all.
I had a 2011 a few weeks ago, it was also my first Mamouche. I totally agree, it was amazing.

I've had mamouche many, many times, but it has never been that good. I think we may have found the sweet spot for that vintage as I didn't think it super impressive fresh or with 2 years on it. So sad that was my last one. :(

i ordered a box from biab (3F bulk 750s) and billed a few days later and then shipped and emails came and was at my desk this morning when i got to work, i wasn't watching the clock cause it was fast enough for me to not go "hey where is that box i ordered?" - must've been under 2 weeks since hitting go on the order. super fast to NY.

Mmmm new tilquin quetsche de Namur is fantastic. It does remind me of the batch 1, glad I stocked up on this one.

Stocked up local or online? Haven't seen the Namur version outside of visiting during TdG

Not a fan of Vat 77 guys. It is the mineral tasting beer I have ever had.
