I obtained a Full 20 lb CO2 Cyclinder. I thought I was getting CO2. I just notice a small orange printed stickly label that says BEV Gas. What is this? Online, it could be anywhere from 100% CO2 to only 25% CO2. It has the standard CO2 Regulator, so I would believe it it mostly if not all CO2. Unfortunately, I got it some time ago and no longer have the contact info from where I got it.

If I had to hazard a guess it's a blend of CO2 and Nitrogen that is most often specified to drive a "long line" dispensing system (where kegs are in a cold room adjacent to the dispensing area).

BUT...it's also possible it's a labeling convention used by the supplier to specify a "beverage quality CO2".

Cheers!

My tank is labeled "Beverage Gas" for 100% CO2, and "ExtendaPAK" for my blend.
If it takes a normal CO2 fitting/regulator, I'd bet it's 100% CO2.
