What’s the rough shipping cost on BIAB for an optimized 30kg box? Give or take exchange etc....
Thanks!

If the box isn’t Etre stuff (straight from 3F for example) they hit you with a handling fee. Thanks - the link I got from them today had the 100 Euro shipping plus 45 Euro packing/handling fee - is that also standard?
Thanks again - I’m still a relative noob at all of this.

It’s possible I’m mistaken, but every box I’ve dropped off from 3F or Cantillon has been hit with the handling fee. It’s never been applied to boxes containing bottles I’ve ordered from their stock.Ive never experienced that surcharge when shipping bottles home with Etre, though maybe I haven't paid enough attention. The only difference ive noticed when shipping things bought in person in Europe vs ordering through the site from abroad is a larger bottle allowance per box. Every time I think ive optimized the box based on past order history they always seem to find room for a few more bottles. No complaints though.

If you do Etre or BIAB thru 3F you get hit with a packing fee of 45€ which they add because they factor that amount in with their own shop bottle prices. The only way they make money is with those packing fees and even then it seems like a pretty small amount.
My last box was all Cantillon 50N packages I proxied for TBers. GetchaPull personally dropped them off at Etre, and it got hit with the fee as well.I misunderstood then. You and Compton25 are correct, my last two 3F receipts have the surcharge on it. I was looking at my Etre charges.

Maybe I just keep getting hit with an ******* tax haha. I think as Dbijnagte said, Etre isn’t shipping home bottles that you didn’t buy from them from the goodness of their hearts. The handling fee is their slice of $ for their time and your convenience.Really? I did just that (with different bottles) this past June and was not hit with a surcharge outside of shipping fees.

Will hopefully have a label file soon but...
“Goyck is a collaboration between our Lambic brewery and Koenraad Goddeau, the man behind Toots (a local ale), resulting in a blend of a 12 months lambic and the high fermented beer Toots. Bottled in 0,75cl bottles (25.4 oz). ABV 5,5%”
I don't know if it's a function of getting older and appreciating restraint in most things, but I rarely enjoy any lambic more than a Girardin Black.

Black label here has been around $18-20. I’d buy a ton at $10. Send me a case?Curious if what I'm paying locally for the aforementioned bottles is on par w/ what everyone else is paying...
I picked up 750s of Black Label over the weekend for $9.99 each. Cuvee Renee is usually around $8 for 375ml or $14-16 for a 750, though I almost never see those anymore. Girardin is probably my favorite of the bunch but those 375s are most expensive at ~$15.

It’s pretty easy to find locally here. $15ish/375 if you’re interestedI've never found Girardin anywhere locally. Need to track some of that **** down.

Haven't had the regular in a while. The Kriek is tasty but insanely sour, definitely a sharing beer. The thing I like most about standard issue CR is how little sourness it possesses. It's all limestone and flint with basement funk. I could drink it by the gallon. I'm not the biggest kriek fan in general, but I like CRK just fine.Haven't had the regular in a while. The Kriek is tasty but insanely sour, definitely a sharing beer. Both are tremendous. The value is unbeatable. The thing I like most about standard issue CR is how little sourness it possesses. It's all limestone and flint with basement funk. I could drink it by the gallon. I'm not the biggest kriek fan in general, but I like CRK just fine.
At least the batches I was having. My old beer spot in Germany carried a bunch of 13 and 14 for 6€. Tasty but super sour, haven't had any more recent batches besides the 2017 I smelled on the sidewalk. RIPYou really think the Kriek is that sour? I could crush a whole bottle to myself every single night.
