Everything made it, but certainly is a bit scary

Local crafty store has 30% of all Belgian beer. Loaded up last night.

2 x A&G (2017? can't remember)
1x Tilquin Questsche Prunes de Namur (2017)
1x Tilquin Gueuze (2016)
1x 3F OG (2016)
1x Hanssens Cassis (2017)

All for $159 AUD circa $122 USD

My local shop also had a discount on Belgian beers the other day... lots of Mongozo, Pink Killer, and Grimbergen, not very exciting

Cave Direct/Beer Merchants (Cantillon’s UK distributor) have opened up the bar in London mentioned ages ago in this thread.

Thanks for posting. I'm going to be in london next weekend finishing up a business trip. I'd love to try some nath if they still have it. Hit me up if you want to grab a pint.

Seems like it’s been quite a long time since the last Lou Pepe Gueuze release. Did something happen to this year’s batch (such as what happened to this year’s Mamouche)? Or are they just taking a longer than usual break between batches?
I can understand that some of the beers might not be available because of whatever addition typically added to the beer wasn't available or of good quality on a certin year but LPG is just 2 year old lambic, seems like that should always be available... Unless they used it for something else maybe?

They've gone ~two years between bottlings of LPG in the past, so I wouldnt say this is too out of the ordinary. It tends to be a winter/spring bottling so it may be in the works. Hopefully its not too long before another vintage becomes available, I love that beer.

Anyone know if Brett-Elle is available to drink in Brussells? I see it at a few spots in Antwerp, Brugge and also Germany and other countries but I am not sure I will be spending much time out of Brussells on this trip next week

I live in NYC these days but go back to London fairly regularly. Not had a chance to check this place out myself yet but I know the people who run it and am sure it’ll be a good time.

Enjoy our trip!

It's available in shops and pubs in Halle e.g. , just outside Brussels and near the 3F lambic-o-Droom.

True story: the most recent bottling of LPG is tucked so far back into the brewery and covered with other things that they just haven’t gotten to pull it out yet.

This bottle of 2011 Golden Blend opened with a nice pop. The carb in the picture is from about 5 minutes after pouring, but it's very soft. Lots of damp wood or forest, like wet fallen leaves after a rain. More bitterness than expected and deep basement funk. Not too much citrus, what's there is muted. Fantastic bottle.

How’d the cork look?

The thing that discouraged me from buying one last month was the odds of it getting to me intact via 2 international flights. I bought a pair of the ZyF glasses (maybe the most beautiful set of tasting glasses I've ever seen) and basically carried them in hand from my front door in Lux to my front door in Seattle, except for 20 mins of them being under my seat for take offs and landings.

At least with BIAB if it gets sent and breaks in transit I can claim on the insurance.

EDIT: Did NOT see the 40 euros delivery on top, ******* hell
