They definitely also do some in the middle of the quarter, which I know because I invariably forget that I've already purchased some and the buy some more, which used to be fine but this last time got me yelled at for cheating the system which was extremely confusing.

Ya I didn't appreciate them telling me to respect a policy that I don't see written anywhere on their site.

I had this happen when I ordered like 6 A&G bottles and later a different blend came up and I tried to order the max on that as well. In the end, I split the two blends between one maximum amount.

Apologies for the ****** pic (and no that pinot is not FT), I always get so excited to taste that the picture usually ends up like this. Ah well--on to the beer itself.
Split this 375 ML '05 OGV with a good buddy yesterday. Label clearly had some damage but the cork was sealed with very little schmudge seeping out around the neck. A nice little pop on the cork, poured almost still with just a hint of carbonation. I poured it cold from the fridge as I like to spend a while sipping and you can really notice the aromas change as it gets warmer and warmer. The first time I had this vintage (2014ish?) I noticed a lot of oxidation from that particular bottle. This bottle did not display nearly as much, and as it warmed I really didn't pick up on any notes. Super funky nose, basement for days with some touches of mint, earth and leather. I opened a herfst recently and I honestly may have guessed herfst if someone gave me this blind. Sad to see it go but really glad I had a chance to revisit this vintage. Cheers islandboi8204

This bottle was ******* great. Thanks for sharing, kind sir

Has anyone else noted the interesting timing of etre's Cantillon drops? They seem to be at the beginning of each quarter, just in time to start a new box. Genius strategy to get us coming back for our new box to fill and ship each quarter! Don't get me wrong, I am so grateful that stores like etre exist b/c Cantillon is like a ghost on shelves here in STL. Also my box from March arrived through Chicago customs this week so they are moving

Theyve waited to reload for a short bit after each shipping window closes since they implemented the "must close by" and changed the rules on maxes a few years ago.

Vintage Boon Gueuze, brew season 95-96.

I couldn't resist tot crack this bottle open on this Eastern Sunday with family.

I was going to keep this bottle til summer for a tasting session, but now seems appropriate aswell.

Really mellow taste, a bit sour, well round overall flavours.

Thanks Ezra to track down this hidden gem for me !! ;)

And yes, I need a proper lambic basket :D

I will be in Belgium next week and I am working out an itinerary right now. Looking to hit the classics of course so if anyone is around and wants to split some nice bottles at 3F, Cantillon, de Heeren, Grote Dorst, Arsenaal, etc... Hit me up! First time going out there and it would be nice to meet some people. Also if I don't split these bottles I may not survive

Eat food at nuetnigenough and lunch at Pistolet. Also buy some tierenteyn verdant mustard for yourself at Pistolet, I’m guessing they are out or cantillon chouke there but there is a chance.

Glad to see it was good, I'll have to buy a couple more!

A friend had told me to go to nuetnigenough, it's close to where I am staying so I will hit that for sure. I will check out Pistolet as well, would be nice to hit Chouke but I am not going crazy for all the rare stuff either. I am just excited for this first trip to Belgium. Thank you for the recommendations :)

I’ll be there from 8th to the 13th pm me if the timing overlaps. Also a few of us from here will be at Grote Dorst on the 8th if you’re interested in joining.

Damn it, I arrive on the 11th. I will be going straight to Lambik-o-Droom that Wed. morning if you guys are around and want to share some bottles. Cantillon Thursday the 12th. Otherwise I would have joined you on the 8th for sure

Had a bottle of De Cam Oude Kriek over the Easter Weekend. Not sure of the bottling date. The label had 2009 but was crossed out in ink. One side of the cork had "Lot 12. 2039 *DE CAM*)" and the other side had "www.lambicland.be".

Anyway, quite an aggressive pop when I took out the cork. Poured almost blood red with a nice pink hue head. Palate was intense cherry jam. Aggressive sourness which was balanced by a subtle cherry sweetness before it got too sour. Some funk. This was a very lovely beer. Could have drunk it all day. Hopefully the shop I bought it from has more. Will clear the shelves if they do.
