Everyone seems to have an opinion on honey malt. It's either overpowering and you can't use much, or it needs to be used in higher amounts to make any difference. What's your opinion on this?

I go with #2, about 4%. Or 5% if I'm living on the edge.

I use a full LB in my cream ale its and 11lb grain bill, I don't find it overbearing

I used 10 oz in a recent bitter and it's not overwhelming. I don't have a ton of experience to say more.
