I know this question has been asked before, because I know I've asked it before, but - what are the north side options for filling a swing-top, 750ml or 1L growler?
So I got this answered for myself yesterday since I brought a couple 1L swing tops. It really depends on the growler opening diameter since they only have fill hoses with a single thickness. The 1L ones I had were too narrow but the big 2L HF swing tops have worked in the past no problem. Haven't brought any 750s in yet. They mentioned they're looking to get some different size hoses to accommodate them though. So......soon?

The last time you asked the only answer was Half Acre. Yes, I am bored enough on my commute this morning to use the search feature for you.

Thanks and thanks! I guess my basement glass collection will just have to grow for now, along with my guilt about hoarding and not being able to return said glass to my senders filled with delicious local content. And sorry for not using the search function myself, but my personal motto remains:

Dry Hop use to use 750 swing-tops. I assume they still fill them in addition to the cans--but I'm not sure. Since Corridor is the same folks, maybe them too?

I'm not sure if I feel like hiking up to Half Acre tuesday for one of these glasses... It's so ugly... but it's a Half Acre glass... Anyone happen to know if they sold out? I know last year the Big Hugs glasses lasted a while.

If you don't like it, why would you buy it?

They also had "special" Big Hugs branded growlers and coffee mugs, if that's your thing too.

People who don't live in Chicagoland shouldn't be allowed to comment on FIBs bitching about the state of the local beer scene.

If we can't express a collective "WTFLOLSRSLY?" at the state of Chicago Craft Beer 2015, then what are we even doing here? If you haven't experienced the Chicago Craft Beer Shitlord Epidemic firsthand, you don't even know man. You don't even know!

Does the wax smell like vanilla?

December 11, 2016:
This is the 8th year we’ve brewed this stout....We work with our friends at Dark Matter to collide under one more meaningful elixir...but this year we have something EXTRA SPECIAL.

This Big Hugs Release will flow as many have before it. Separate lines for cash and credit, with Dark Matter Coffee, food to line your insides, and a long list of reasons to stick around the brewery for a while, including the release of BA Big Hugs with Vanilla Beans, in a specially scented and waxed bottle, in a scented box, now in a convenient 16.9 oz format. Bottles should go quickly, $40/16.9 oz, limit 2. This will not see distribution, so line up early and often to make sure you don't miss out on this one-time chance to grab this great collector's item...until next year...when we brew it again...and it disappoints as it did with this batch...but VANILLA.

Has anyone who bought the BCBS coffee mug actually used it? Keep passing on it because seems small in volume of coffee it could hold, and when I picked it up felt like a handle for ants.

Sounds familiar....

Put one of last year's and this year's in the cupboard for use. Because I am a rebel.

I'm not imagining it though, right? This year's, at least, is on the small side for a typical mug? Looks nice, which is why I keep thinking I want to pick it up, but really just does not seem worth $15 unless convenient to use regularly.

Oh I wanted to put this year's away and use both of last year's because last year's is ugly as sin, but that is now the .rar mug. The new handle is sized for a teacup. It is entirely for aesthetics, but the inside is probably still 10oz.

wait you use you .rar glass? I thought glass warez were to be treated like packaged star wars figures. these things are best left in a display case, were you by any chance born outside the state of illinois?

I don't frequent trade boards or the seedy beer for sale underbelly but do people by any chance mention glassware being never used or washed? for example, is a CBS snifter worth less money because it was used or somethin?
