So, with the new addition of my multi tap setup I was looking around my parts and found two Sanke couplers. Both are the older twist on style and while I dig my homebrew I was thinking I could use these if I decide I want to just buy a commercial beer instead. With that said, they are older and probably very dirty, so I am wondering how to clean them? There is a keeper on the top of the liquid line I am sure will have to come out, but my big concern is, are any of the parts under any pressure? I have two, so the first one will be more than likely the experimental one but heck, they were free so I thought why not try and clean them up to use them? Any info on this is appreciated.

And while I am thinking of it, the new tower I got has the screw in style ends to fit into the sanke style. Would you guys just replace it all at the faucet to Duotight and Evabarrier so that I can keep the sanke setup if I need it? Or would it be best to just cut off the connection and put a ball lock on it and use it that way? Obviously much cheaper to just cut the hose, but I am thinking ahead in case I want to just throw a couple of commercial kegs in once in a while.

Thanks all

Cleaning a sanke coupler is easy; just take it apart, soak and scrub with BLC or PBW or whatever and scrub with a brush:

(*note: You don't need to disassemble the handle or PRV)
As to the connection to your taps, there's a few different options but I'm heavily biased to keeping everything EVABarrier so my own sanke coupler has the ball lock>Beer nut adapters so all my lines still have their ball lock disconnects on them;
https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/sankeballlockset.htm If you want to keep a sanke coupler permanantly on duotight there's these doutight beernut fitting: https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/pushshank.htm
I'm not clear on what you mean by this:

..but if you don't have SS doutight shanks (https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/shanksstowerpush.htm) I'd replace them. *NOTE: Most towers sold with shanks. taps and lines use the lowest grade plated chrome crap available....Drink the Beer, Not the hardware!

Thank you for the info. What I mean is instead of the handle that pushes down to seal the coupler to the keg, min has a turning mechanism that pushed the sealing part down. Similar to this:

Also, thank you for the info on the shank, but it says it does not work with perlick, which right now is what I have. But, I am going to try and get the Nukatap faucets that were supposed to come with the kegerator and I forgot to ask the guy about.

I've never taken apart the wing style, but I did find a diagram:

As to the shank: Mine and most (but not all on here) works just fine with my Perlick...A few years back I tried an email campaign to get @KegLand and Perlick to sign up on here and provide a solid resolution to why some folk experienced incompatibility and who it actually was that made the wrong number of knurls.... https://www.homebrewtalk.com/thread...t-shank-perlick-faucet-mostly-annoyed.701590/
..Anyhoo; I've only heard that from owners of years old parts and then, it seems only to affect some people. I recommend if possible, can you try out your Perlick in a current Nuka shank, though how you do that without buying one...made just buy one for now and give it a try?
Perlick never responded, but hey; Kudos to @KegLand for signing up..it's been great having them on here but they still never addressed this. (@KegLand ..can you answer this?....pretty please with DME?)

Thank you for the diagram, that helps alot. Also, funny thing, I did a google search and your thread came up. I read thru it and am thinking of just giving it a go. It is only about 20 bucks and will probably be part of a larger order of lines and connections. I need to see what size the current tubing on it is, I might just be able to use it for now as is and go from there. Either way, I appreciate the info. Thanks

I put my snake connectors in an ultrasonic bath with warm PBW.
A handy bit of kit that tackles taps and other brewing parts really well.
I do appreciate the nice diagrams in this thread for replacing worn parts.
