I picked up a second hand G30 the other day. Don't have anything to ferment in yet, apart from a 5L (1.3 USG) carboy.

I'd like to start a test brew for a 5L batch, just until my new fermenter arrives. Went to the Grainfather app, thinking, "ah yes, I'll just put in that I want to make 5L", but it's not as easy as that!

As far as I can see, I have to add new eqpt and set the volume to be 5L.

Or am I missing something? Can I not just take a 23L recipe and divide all the quantities by 5 (roughly)?
