My recent experiment, making an ale with a traditional Munich Helles recipe (except for the yeast) ended up with an obvious name:
Like Hell Ale

And tasters keep telling me in Bavarian: "Hm, des schmeckt ja wia a (Brauerei xy) Hell!" ("Oh, this tastes like a (brewery xy) Hell").

Duh! I told you before!

Get some very oversize glasses and serve Hell in a Bucket.

Just thought of another of my good beer names...back when I was doing BIAB with propane (Foundry user now) I was making a pumpkin ale and somehow one of the screw on legs of my false bottom that I used to keep bag off bottom of the kettle fell off and was nowhere to be found. Thus, the beer became Screw Loose Pumpkin Ale.

When America went from like 3 breweries to 5,000, all the really good names got taken. I came up with all sorts of fantastic names, only to find they were already in production. You have to be pretty sharp to come up with anything original now. I guess this is why so many factory beers have stupid names these days.

Broke my heart when I learned Mar-a-lager was taken.

The sad thing is that good names were applied to bad beers from breweries that will vanish.

Was brewing on my electric system in the basement earleir this year. We had a severe thunderstorm form out of no where. Killed the power in the house just as I finished the boil, making it pitch black in my basement. Had to cool and transfer in the dark, giant pain in the ass. Named the beer “Power’s Out Wheat Ale”.

As I posted before, I brew a dunkelweizen named Dunkel's Weizen, after my dog named Dunkel. I also had a dog named Roggen, which I brewed a roggenbier named Roggen's Bier. I just got another dog and named him Porter. I'm gonna brew a porter, but I'm not sure what to name it. Any Ideas?

Now you gotta get another dog and brew a stout.

Had a sub-optimal brew day with some spilled wort. Ended up with "Sticky Knees Stout".
