What if we just feed mayonnaise to the tuna.

That Barney Rubble, what an actor.

Ah yes... Night shift. Beautiful.

Actually posted that in the movies to watch while drunk thread a while back. Sounds like it's time to watch it again.

Very nice, two mobile likes.

Just got back from my soccer game. Thought about playing, decided it wasn't worth a possible divorce, so I'll wait a couple weeks

Calling it quits with studying for the night.

This. Meh. Underwhelmed. I was expecting more. Tastes like a kinda old really mediocre ESB. You know, like Fullers. Hell, Adnams Broadside is darker and maltier than this thing is.

It doesn't taste bad, but I was hoping for an Old Ale.

Nightcap.

Holy jalapeno batman.

I hate that I'm sensitive to those stupid pyrazines. See em all the time in homebrew (I'm guessing it's one of the Briess roasted malts), but rarely do I get it in a commercial beer unless it's a coffee one.

Ugh. Decent beer otherwise. Slightly drier than mine, but similar otherwise (sans the vegetal mess).

Louetta and Memorial City for the most part, with a few TBD stops elsewhere.

There's an HEB at Louetta and 249 where I mostly get my growlers filled when I'm in the area. There's also a Whole Foods just down the road on Louetta that has a bar and fills growlers. View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1457500467.064368.jpg
And an HEB near Memorial City that fills growlers. Haven't had a growler filled there yet, but they usually have quite a bit available. View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1457500502.070819.jpg

Awesome, thanks. I didn't realize HEB did growler fills.

Also, any recommendations for beer to pick up in Houston that I can't get in Austin or SAT would be appreciated.

Also it's my 3rd anniversary of quitting smoking. I didn't even notice until Facebook reminded me. Which I guess is a good thing. The first year I was counting the days. After 2 years or so it just kinda became no longer a thing.

Congrats! Damn hard habit to quit. Been smoking way too long.

Good uns too. Didn't even unwrap a beer before I ate one. And the boy ate one. And the wife ate one.

I was hoping they didn't go stale. I scarfed down a similar pack end of last week. That bakery is great.

PS. It's a boy. Went quickly. SWMBO is a champ.

I'd been at a pack a day for maybe 15 years when I quit. Walking pneumonia. Doctor told me I needed to quit NOW before it became hospital-risk-of-death pneumonia.

Actually the same thing that got my grandfather to quit. Before the liver cirrhosis killed him (man loved his gin and tonic).

It's kind of a new thing. I think there's only 2 or 3 in the Houston area that do it. There's even a new Kroger in Katy that fills growlers. I think every grocery store should have a bar in it. Start feeling stabby after the 4th time someone hits you in the back with a shopping cart, go get a beer and everything's okay again. :D
As far as beer you can't get in SA or Austin, nothing comes to mind. There are a few newer breweries that may not make it out of Houston right now, but nothing that stands out as a must try.
This is Texas craft beer month at Spec's, so they usually try to carry a lot more Texas craft and special pricing on some.
When are you going to be in Houston?

Nice man, I hear it's a bitch to quit. Hearing my Dad and brother hack up their lungs every morning was enough to convince me never to start smoking. Well, that and I hated them when I tried. My Dad managed to quit around 6 years ago, after a good 40 years of a pack a day. He's somehow lucky in that he came out unscathed cancer-wise. Doc says his lungs look great. Brother is in prison now so he's probably quit smoking everything but dong.

Man my garage smells absolutely atrocious. Thinking it's the lager I've got fermenting. I havent smelled rhino farts like this since I tried making apfelwein.
