I couldn’t make it to MTL today, so in honor I’ll start tonight with HB Vietnamese Coffee Stout in a MTL glass.

I highly recommended using Troung Nguyen coffee beans if you’re making a coffee stout

Maybe it was the weather but the lines were crazy. I figured I'd show up 4 hrs after opening and there was a 30 minute wait. Ran into a couple of people I hadn't seen in a while and stayed. There should be bottles tomorrow. I'd also recommend the barleywine and Substance next door.

I just bought this 4 inch refractor and just mounted it. I also have a 6 inch reflector, 5 inch Mak-Cass a 8 inch SCT, 15×70 binos. No have not seen much of anything, crappy weather

Stopped earlier today at a new brewery in SLO called There Does Not Exist. Head brewer/owner spent years at Firestone Walker. Wife had a vanilla oatmeal stout, I had a hazy ipa. Both were very good.

Well I'm 55 now. Skin is getting thin, legs hurt more now a days, can't stand the cold here like when I started stargazing with my 1st 60mm Alt-AZ back in the 70's. Getting harder to lug this stuff out. I used to be out for 5-6 hours 10°. Viewing is always better without the heat shimmer but this old veteran just can't do that anymore!!

Negative on the glass. I asked a couple workers while waiting in line and was told they had maybe 60 and then less than 100. They posted later that they completely underestimated the demand and are doing a pre-order for very similar glass (says ghost instead of homes). Pick up in the taproom only once they come in so I'll probably grab one.
