Amazingly this came installed so I didn't have to suffer getting a 3mm line onto the 1/4 barb! Time to put away the heat gun. Thanks @Bobby_M! Looking forward to testing this out and finishing up the kegerator if this works well.

First to fellow Canadians;
I bookmarked this as a potential 'next kettle' over a year ago but now, sadly, Goldsteam Homebrewing is going out of business.

I've only had a handful of orders with them because they are in BC on the other side of the country, but the service has been the best I've had....even called me once because based on my order the guy knew I hadn't read the description on some on sale parts.
It's been a while since I bought a decent box for my cat so I finally got him a new one.

..really nice looking thermometer...shame I'm not gonna install it..
I call it my 'compromise kettle' because I can't afford my 'ideal' and these are my compromises: TC cavity for the heating element, welded port for a thermometer that I won't install because it'll only rip up a brew-bag, 201 SS rather than 304 but since it'll never see flame and be on it's own stand and not handled much that's OK.
I'll be fitting a 1.5" TC port up near the rim for a steam condenser but not sure wether that'll be a weldless bulkehead or welded yet. Now it's time to place a long planned order with Bobby and get these:

The pound I bought from yvh in 2024 was pretty "normal" wrt AA% and character. But Amarillo isn't going to win a 1:1 battle with the likes of Simcoe - or Citra or Mosaic, among other bold character hops...

I want a permanent solution

For future shipments, we offer Signature Not Required (SNR) services within Canada that authorize drop offs without a signature. 

We offer a Single Shipment Use form to make it easy for you to authorize a one-time SNR delivery and a Multiple Shipment Use form to authorize all future shipments to be delivered by Purolator without a signature, whether you're the sender or the receiver.

I got a wrecked schedule for the next week in the mail today.
