First try of a hb IIPA, 12.25% and the biggest beer I've made yet. First two tries yeilded two whole hop pellets stopping up the liquid out post.

Third time was a charm, but still some hop debris. Tastes amazing, any alcohol heat is nicely covered by the immense bitterness and hop flavor.

No, it takes a whole month of drinking them to feel the same effect that you can from other beer in a week.

FTFY. I'm not kidding, either. I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever brew a mild. What's the point? Some of the beers (including IPAs) I brew are 4-5x the ABV of a mild. The English are something else.

The owner of my shop gives me bottles from time to time, but nothing like that. Very nice! I'm excited to see how The Calling is. It will probably a few months before I get it. I'm still waiting on the Imperial Stout X-coffee to show up.

Yep! They look the prettiest when they're about to kick. Bottled a 22 and part of a 22 and then it kicked. I've learned how it works. At least my DIPA is now in the kegerator chilling.
