Surge! Took the day off from work before the 2.5 months of hell commences and going to take the kids to the park before it snows. Forecast to be 72F today.

Anyone else here use a bayou classic kettle? I just got my 16 gallon one in the mail today and it seems awfully flimsy. Its not the tri clad bottom one, but i really wanted a kettle with gallon markings on the inside.

Water to wash down my 1,200-calorie lunch after a brutal leg day.

I use this 11 gallon Bayou Classic for 5 gallon batches and its pretty sturdy.

Yay for poor decisions! Tried to find a buddy to share it with but somehow I couldn't. So this is lunch.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess my biggest concern is the handles. Any suggestions on getting the manufacturing junk out of the inside? I tried scrubbing with dish soap which got most but the last bit wont come off.

I use bar keepers friend to get out anything from stainless steel followed by a thorough rinsing and it works great

I do wish the handles were bolted or weddled on like my stainless cookware is but ive brewed 60-ish batches in it and no signs of them loosening up at all

Gravity sample of my Malt Liquor. Hope it drops a few more points, but if not no worries.

Now this. Seen it on the shelves a number of times, haven't had it before. It's not terrible, but it's not amazing either.

Just drank a sample of my brett golden strong - tasting good so far.

Now having a water. Every time I open the fridge, the bottles of beer ask me to open one of them. I'm trying to say no. :D

Hydro sample of HB India red ale. I think it's good but waiting to carb, now that I finally kegged it, and see how it works out. It's pretty though.

Then maybe you should step out on the porch to get away from them. ;)

Good idea. However, I am starving right now and dinner isn't ready. Hell, it's not even prepped. This is the time I usually pound beer - when I'm hungry.

Trying to take a beer selfie but something's not working.

I didn't know what you meant by this. But, my kids just got home and they were on the front porch. No idea why, as I rarely use that door (use the garage instead).

Incredible. Thank you. I laughed out loud when my wife read the name on the label.

The beer or the table?

You know, nukebrewer saw the table and he didn't seem as impressed. Maybe it is not as impressive as you think. :p But the beer is pretty...I think.

Need another opinion though. It sat with the dry hop for a long time, like a month to be exact.

:fro: You're welcome! I told you I had you covered on those.

I looked at those for a long time, but finally decided that the welded fittings were worth the additional cost. I'm tired of dealing with leaky weldless fittings. Buy once cry once. http://spikebrewing.com/collections/20-gallon-stainless-kettles

Tea. I could actually go for an Imperial Hop Bomb of some form right now, and I'm not sure why. Guess I'll be going for the AB clone next since that's the closest, even if the hops have lost much of their luster by now.

How can we trust you? You cant even keep your word haha

Couldn't not have it. It was sitting right there in front of me. Blame Mark?

See what he did. :D :D

Onto the home brew. ****. I had a fantastic lift today and it's going down the drain.

My initial impression was that this is just ok but then it occurred to me that it cost a third of what the other stuff I have been drinking cost and I am digging it more.

I'm sure they're no big deal to you folks out west, but word on the street is that Deschutes is finally starting distribution here and I'm stoked. I love Black Butte Porter but normally can't get it without trading or traveling.

And I was in the mood for my AB clone, but it seems I'm out. I thought I had a few tucked away in the back of the fridge....oops. Drinking my English IPA instead.

Chugged one of my strawberry blondes and now sitting at hockey and then going to cub scouts. These long Tuesdays are getting old. :( At least I have beers ready for me when I get home later. :)
