Tis the season here also. Time for some "Say hello to my little friend!" action!
Super clear. Pretty good.
Today’s heavy hitter is an 11% slug in the jaw recommended to me by my booze-curious Doctor daughter. Dragon’s Milk is a Barrell-Aged whopper of a stout. Pours a heavy bodied glassful with a 1/4” brownish head lingering for a minute, just a faint lacing that dissipates, lower-medium carbonation.
Flavor has the expected toffee, dark chocolate and coffee reminders, as well as a slight vanilla essence from aging in oak bourbon barrels. Solid boozy mouthfeel, but hides the wine-strength “beer” here well. Really, much more and I need to treat this as gulp of Chardonnay.

Carnivor Cabernet with london broil and a salad for dinner. We really like this wine, had it many times and I try to keep it on hand.

Every so often I see gift sets of them. I can keep an eye open if you want.

Today is my wife’s first day back to work since having our child in December. I took a few weeks off now to be home with her. Day one is going well… powers been out for 3 hours, lol. Can’t wait to replace the Dr Pepper with a beer.
A lot of beer was drank and a lot of fish were caught, only a couple pics, no service where we were at so didn't have my phone with me for much of it. The one by itself is 18 inch, the four at the bottom range from 17 to 20 inches. All rainbow trout, we caught some brownies as well, Saturday was 55f and raining in the morning, warmed up to 70f in the afternoon, good day of fishing, by the time we got done at dinner it was raining and snowing sideways. Sunday morning was in the 20s and windy, cold day for trout fishing but we slayed them again.
Edit: after getting official measurements from my dad, the fish on the left is 22 inches and weighed in at 3lb 5oz

Vacancy brewery....1st time. Golden strong was solid. Meh IPAs but was warned ahead of time they're a lager brewery.
Various pils and now a kettle sour
These are good with the traditional St. Pat's meal but to me much better to just enjoy on their own.
J J Blonde. My HB Blonde keg kicked so it’s commercial beer until we go back to the city later this week. We had a lot of company over the weekend. They all brought BMC beer but all drank my HB. I now have a fridge full of Miller Lite and Busch Light.
Owners of this place are from San Francisco. Everything was clearly on the bitter side. This Barleywine is very similar to Big Foot so go figure. Tasty

Whale Oil Beef Hooked
It has an upside, I sanitize with vinegar, and rinse with Bud Light in my carboys and kegs. It's also part of the base for my soups. I don't know what all the fuss is about drinking that stuff is though. I get that bud light for free for the same reason, so I consider it a paid compliment!

After five days, I'm 95% healthy again...my wife on the other hand, another 1-2 days of recovery.
Meanwhile...I've commandeered my coworkers house out in the French countryside (zero complaints except I'm out of beer, lol)

HB West Coast IPA
Well, it looks like you got the top popped OK.
First sample pour of my partially carbed HB Coffee Amber Ale, kegged on Sunday. Strong coffee is the predominant flavor. I'm expecting (hoping) it will mellow over time.
Cold Smoke
Classic WCIPA. Dry, malty. Low/moderate pine flavor and aroma. Moderate bitterness carries into next sip. Delicious.
No back nor shoulder pain. Balls went fairly straight. Deserves another
I like this beer!
