HB IPA to start the weekend. My club is hosting a tasting event at our regional fair tomorrow so looking forward to that
First pour of the Irish Red Ale. Out of curiosity, I got the MoreBeer Flash Kit and “brewed” it in under 10 minutes. It’s not going to win any awards, but it’s a solid beer. Cheers to the weekend!

A new night, a new siege laid against the keg of Australian Sparkling Ale. Hopefully I acquit myself better than last night. I only managed one pint before nodding off. I'm lucky my 23 year old self can't get wind of that embarrassing feat!
@Bramling Cross I wont tell if you don't haha.. couple of fullers at olde English pub in Albany, wife's had the crutches for a couple weeks. Makes for funny convo.

An APA. I'm trying to reproduce an APA that I brewed over 30 yrs ago. Each time that I have brewed it over the years I have did something different each time. Plus my equipment is totally different and ingredients aren't exactly the same, but this time I followed my original notes as close as possible. I am very pleased with this beer. The malt and hops are well balanced with that Cascade spiciness on the nose and tongue.

Got a chance to meet a fellow HBT member in real life today. @bailey mountain brewer came up to Albany for a beer trip and I was able to meet up with him and we swapped some homebrew. Drinking his coffee cream ale now! Very nice!
Hydrometer sample of my Amber Ale, with hints of coffee (brown malt). Tastes good and coming in at 5.4% it'll be just right for a fall day.
Watching football through my son’s video racing rig. It’s Saturday; I’m too lazy to move it.
Anniversary run. Oyster stout and Coupe de Foudre at Tributarys 10th. The Coupe lambic was amazing. Pliny's on draft down the street. Time to walk off the beers at the outlet

Explored Cape Breton Highlands NP this morning before the rains came.
This afternoon we spent some time at Big Spruce Brewing while the rain outside came down sideways. I had their Tripel, Mrs. Stout had a raspberry wheat. Then I had their oatmeal stout on nitro.

In celebration of National Beer Lovers Day and other made-up holidays pulled out of peoples asses, I'm drinking the last of my HB 2020 vintage Barleywine. Bottled this in March 2020. Bottled about 16 litres. The grist was 9.0 kg Maris Otter, 2.0kg Carapils, Crushed. Apollo Hops at 99 IBU, and used the beast of yeast White Labs WLP 099 Super High Gravity . The result was 11.6% ABV. I will miss this and have a tear in my eye as this ended-up tasting incredible. Will have to brew this recipe again.

I think it's fabulous that Prince Harry and Megan finally found a career that is useful.
HB saison. 6% and 35 IBU. I think I prefer them at my usual 28 IBU, but this is nice too.
Brown malt, you say? Interested to know your recipe, unless it's top secret of course.
HB Mosaic SMaSH after watching our #2 grandson’s college football team lose on a 95° day.
Festbier from the world's oldest brewery. Nice mouth feel, some maltiness with just a touch of bitter. I like it.

Did you try any of their beers with their own honey? I think they have a Märzen and an IPA with honey.
