just wondering what the standard or if there is one on reuseing yeast from a SG beer . I read somewhere that one should not repitch teast from a beer that is higher than 1.060. I made an IPA and the OG was 1.071 should I use the yeast on another brew or not

I'd wash it before reusing it and not use the whole cake on another beer. But otherwise, it should be fine.
