My wife is just about to give birth to our new baby girl, so on with the celebration. I would like to brew her a girly brew, that she would enjoy. She is not much on beer, unless it is girly, so lets see your sugestions and recipies!!!!:mug:

My favorite girly brew is my DFH 60 minute clone. It's got in your face grapefuit flavor and aroma and a great bitterness that makes it my favorite IPA. My best friend doesn't like hoppy beers but she actually loves that beer. She did prefer my watermelon wheat and the "fizzy yellow beer", over some of my other beers, though. The watermelon wheat was Dude's recipe, for B's Honey Wheat, and I simply added 2 cups of pureed watermelon juice to secondary for that beer.
The DFH and Fizzy Yellow Beer are in my recipe pull down.

Cream Ale:

8 lbs. 2 row pale malt
1 lb. flaked maize
.5 lb. Victory malt
1 oz. Liberty pellet hops - 60 min
1 oz. Liberty pellet hops - 5 min
White Labs WL080 "Cream Ale Blend" yeast - ferment low @ 60-65F
mash @ 150F - 60 min

My wife loves my grapefruit ale. I use Ed Wort's Haus Pale Ale and pitch in the peels of two grapefruit for the last 15 minutes. It adds an awesome flavor to it!

Got this one going in the primary right now...

Strawberry Blonde

2# 2-row pale malt
1/2# oatmeal (I used Quaker Old Fashioned)
1# Flaked Wheat
6# Extra Lite DME
4 oz Saaz (1/2 @60, 1/2 @5)
6# strawberries

I'll be racking onto the strawberries in the secondary next weekend. Then after a week, I'll rack it off the fruit, maybe bottle, maybe age a bit more.
