On the basis that Makassar is the only one I've heard of, some rummaging there leads to :

It is indeed Vincennes, the day I posted it was the 600th anniversary of Henry V of England dying there, a few years after Agincourt.

8130 miles, and east, is something like the eastern point of Brazil, or Greenland, and it ain't Greenland. Not sure it's Brazil either...

Edit: The La Palma eruption is in the Canary Islands. La Palma, Spain is 8100 miles from Hawaii. So…

La Palma, Canary Islands is within the margin of error, so that’s my guess.
