Loving Munich! I thought I’d show just a few photos.

I don't know where you're staying or where you're going, but north of Munich is Ingolstadt. That's where the Reinheitsgebot was signed. EnThe Donau River is the Danube.
FWIW, Dachau is 13 miles to the northwest of Munich.
What cool experiences. I am curious if there are fruit ipas and such or is it all traditional beers?
Thanks for sharing. My wife and I will be in Munich next week.
Do you have any favorite beer halls in Munich? I've visited the Hofbrauhaus before but that's it. We will be visiting it again as part of the tour but will also have free time for exploring the town.
I was stationed in Augsburg for 4 years (40 miles west). I can't tell you how many times I used to drive to the Hofbrauhaus for dinner and a few beers after work.
I recommend the English Garden. There's a Chinese pagoda there (and sometimes people walk naked around the park).
FWIW, it was one of the places to buy drugs back in the 70s. I remember when they raised the price for a gram of hash to $2. For shame!
If you're into technology, the Deutsches Museum is one of the top museums in Germany. I've been there several times. They have an auditorium where I saw Bob Seger, Kansas, Cheap Trick, (all separate shows) and a few others in concert. I've also been to concerts at the Olympic Stadium (Pink Floyd, Queen, ELO, etc) and a smaller venue called the Circus Krone (Peter Frampton on his Comes Alive tour in 1976, Aerosmith, Foreigner on their first world tour (and they only had 1 album out...they had to play 2 or 3 of their songs a couple of times)).
Thanks for the feedback. The last time I was in Munchen was 1987 during Oktoberfest. We found the fest to be more hype than substance. I was stationed at Hahn AB and took the trip via the AFRC at Hahn.
Munich was awesome. Myself and my wife who has never been to Munich are really looking forward to our trip. The trip is a 12 day tour of Germany. We have two days in Munich. After the trip we will spend 3 days in Zell in the the Hunsruck to see how much I can remember about getting around where I lived for 2 years 30 years ago. Lots of history everywhere in Germany.
Anyhow, we have only a few hours of free time in Munich and want to make the best of it. Thanks for the suggestions.
