How long after you break the liquid yeast packet in a smack pack is it good for? I smacked it on Sunday and totally forgot I did it. I know it probably isn't any good anymore. But just wanted to all and see if anyone knew. Thanks for the information.

Where'd you store it after smacking?
If you kept it refrigerated and the pack is fresh, you have plenty of cells there to make a starter. Even if you had used it the day it was smacked, with no starter that would have likely been a significant underpitch anyway.
