I was wondering if I should transfer my most recent extract batch of Caribou Slobber (American Brown Ale) from NB or if I should just let it sit in primary for the duration. I used Super Moss with ten minutes left in the boil so I am not sure how that effects things as well. Does it hurt the flavor by sitting on it for the duration of the fermentation? All of my previous beers I have transferred but have heard that it is usually not necessary and raises the risk of contamination. I have it fermenting in a 6.5 gallon glass carboy for 1 week now.
