I'm hosting a blind geuze tasting this weekend - there should be about 6 people, and ~10 750s. I am a little concerned about palate fatigue - for those who have done similar tastings, do you have any recommendations for palate cleansers or ways to make the tasting run well?

Water, small flights (3 flights of 3 bottles sounds about right), crackers / bread, similar glass style for everyone, and keep it moving (I'd say about 20 - 25 minutes per flight, take a 5-10 minute break, and rinse wash repeat).

Enjoy and cheers!

i still have some of the first batch. it is like a better version of zwet.be

Had one of these a week or two ago. Lost a lot of the stout flavors I was reading in the reviews, but I thought it was a really interesting beer.

Also probably a one and done type deal for me. Not even sure I'll seek out a truly fresh one (which is what I thought I was getting from etre)

At the request of Pierre Tilquin, we will stop selling all of Gueuzerie Tilqjuin’s products after the 31/3/16 via the webshop. After this date, we will only offer the products of Gueuzerie Tilquin in our beerstore in Grez-Doiceau. Thank you for understanding..
And so it continues... This one will hurt.

I think I am going through lambic withdrawal right now. All I have had in the past like 2-3 months is a cuvee rene. I love cuvee rene but i need more. All my beer is currently in the back of a climate controlled storage unit that I cant get to til my new place is ready and I move in. I thought I would be in the condo by now FML

This is the "most first world problems" thing I have seen all week. I has it all. Kudos to you.

New 2015 750's

Tons of cherries and funk on the nose. Taste comes through with deep rich cherry skins with tart funky cherry juice. Dat color and head!

I only had the original batch before and wasn't overly impressed by it, but this is spectacular. Not sure how them cherries will hold up over time, but right now they are thriving. Thinking I might need to find more of this soon.

Regarding lambic being sold online and places starting to refuse shipment of certain products to the US... am I the only one who thinks restricting even glassware sales is kinda strange?
those glasses were meant to be sold in Europe not the US. Heaven forbid some Belgians not be able to sip Girardin gueuze out of a Girardin glass

I heard Cuvee Rene 750s have been pulled by the local distro due to lack of sales.
Except that is not at all true. Cuvee Rene demand is at an all-time high. Lindemans is expanding because of how much demand there it is for their unsweetened products...

Now if only Girardin and Tilquin would ramp up their USA distribution to compensate for them asking Belgian sellers to stop exporting... Yeah, I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, it's dried up here in Australia. Annoying
