I hope it eventually comes. I think I got nearly that same reply a couple years ago
I thought Viggy was ~2% of their production according to their website?Definitely the most limited, not sure if it's limited because of demand or supply of the flowers but damn do I love it.

Yeah that thingy! That's what I meant.from their website
In spite of its success, the Vigneronne represents less than 5% of the total production of the Cantillon brewery.
it could be 2% but they only state less 5%
~5% sounds like quite a bit, though, considering they have quite a few limited seasonals now, and how much of the production the standard gueuze and Kriek probably make out.
I was under the impression that Gueuze made about almost 50% of their total production
I did my tasting yesterday on Kriek. Intense Red $17, Marriage Parfait $9.75, 3F $13.50
My taste order is
3F
MP
IR
but I think for the 3.75 difference I am going to grab the MP and be super happy.
Mamouche is probably one of my favorites to be honest.
i have a 2010 mamouche I'm aging for ***** and grins. i liked that vintage fresh, it was more grass and less peppers
The only year I'm missing out of all of the releases (including my Zwanze 2009). Lucky.
you still have not found one ?!?!?!?
You will likely have to trade for it, but 3F doesjel from Nov/Dec 2006 (750ml) is fantastic. It was pretty available until recently and should not be to hard to acquire. It is flat, but to my the quality is up to par with the seasons.I haven't been through all 165 pages so I'm not sure if this has been addressed, but whats everyone's favorite Lambics for long term aging?
I've been trying to stock up on Cantillon Classic, 3F OG, 3F OG Golden, Tilquin Gueuze and Tilquen Gueuze Squared to put away for a decade or so. Aside from LPG and St. Lam which I'm currently looking for, what else is really rewarding to age and enjoy that's not impossible to get?
Did another batch of de cam oude lambiek hit the US or did more of the 2012 get sent? a local store recently got in a case and I don't want to do any $40 experiments to find out it was some left over 2012
Not sure if you're joking, but De Cam is a notoriously terrible label-dater. He gets one batch of labels and uses them until they're gone, and doesn't really care what the date says.I'm sure the label has an accurate bottling date on it.
Which is why I ask. It has the same shrink wrap label that the 2012 hadNot sure if you're joking, but De Cam is a notoriously terrible label-dater. He gets one batch of labels and uses them until they're gone, and doesn't really care what the date says.

Deadpan doesn't work online.
Finally, a decent post in this thread.Lambic doesn't age. Don't buy any. Ever.
(cc: Dpaquet, tom10101, oldp0rt, others?)Le père Faro.
Je suis le Père Faro !
Mon verre est plein, ma pipe est bonne…
Vive la bière, au diable l’eau !
Je suis content et rond comme une tonne ;
Je suis le Père Faro !
Je suis content et rond comme une tonne ;
Au diable l’eau !
Je suis le Père Faro !
Mon père ne savait pas lire ;
Brave homme, il chérissait son fils :
Il me fit instruire gratis
Mais enfin il me fit instruire :
Ah ! comme il chérissait son fils.
Par l’ordre et par l’économie,
D’ouvrier je devins bourgeois ;
Viennent exalter mes esprits…
Tant mieux ! je sens, quand je suis gris,
Mon ardeur de mil-huit-cent-trente
Je suis le Père Faro !
Mon verre est plein, ma pipe est bonne… etc
Il part. La rue est solitaire
Notre buveur allait bon train,
Quand une femme dit : « J’ai faim ! »
Pitié, Monsieur, pour une mère :
« O monsieur, mes enfants ont faim !... »
