So limit 18 per person?
Six bottles total, limit three bottles per person. The six packs are on BiaB not Etre.
Ah.... WAELZ!!!!
Used Chrome the other day with no issues...clear your cache?Anyone else have issues w/ the Etre payment system? Trying to reserve a couple bottles and the "confirm order" button isn't working for me. Tried using both Chrome and Safari to no avail. I am curious to hear any potential solutions.
Is Kurt discontinuing the bulk packages? If not:I need more 3f. Really. Hate. Myself. For not bulk buying

Is Kurt discontinuing the bulk packages? If not:
1) Wait until he restocks
2) Buy the bulk 75cls/37.5cls
3) ?
4) Profit
Or profit immediately with Girardin.

That was 2013 bottles of 3F too, right? I've been waiting for 2014 anyway to order bulk
I think we all have a problem
Also a 50/50 cuvee is amazing. Reminds me of slightly toned down A&T.
Did a blind tasting today of my two favorite readily-available gueuzes, both of similar age: 2011-2012 Tilquin (best before 21/03/2022) and 2012 3F (bottled 5 MRT 2012). My girlfriend poured both and marked one glass. It was pretty interesting - I identified them correctly on the first smell which I was happy about. Here's some abbreviated notes:
The Tilquin was slightly darker amber and smelled strongly of metals - iron and copper (almost like blood actually) with a tropical fruit backbone. Some mushroom and cheese as well, but nothing sharp like 3F funk, more soft funk. The taste was pretty complex - high acidity and a umami/savory component, and a mineral finish with good depth and roundness overall. More intense of the two.
The 3F is lighter in color, and has a much better aroma: mineral, straw, green apple, funk/straw, some caramel as it warms. The taste is lighter and more watery compared to Tilquin. Tastes of sharp funk, some apple/lemon, and is not particularly acidic. Balanced and very enjoyable.
If I had to pick a winner it would be Tilquin, but perhaps that is only because it has more intensity than 3F at this point - higher acidity, less watery taste, more pungent (though slightly unpleasant) aroma, and more round taste. I was happy to identify them both correctly, though I was expecting 3F to win. I would love to do something similar with more vintages and more blenders but the logistics get much tougher.

Sigh... Thanks a lot jerk. Now I know Cantillon Classic Gueze and Tilquin Oude Gueze both have a batch with a bottling date on my birthday. There goes my entire cellar and probably lots of money. As new batches (and new beers) from Tilquin are coming around again, I'd like to point everyone towards the community Tilquin Batch List to keep track of the dates and batches. Much like the Cantillon and 3F batch lists, this can be a valuable resource for those tracking batches, releases, and general information about Tilquin lambics. Scan through here, and if you have something to add, please feel free. Just take note of the formatting. Cheers!

I browse it. Sometimes there are deals to be had. Negotiating is also on the table for many items. Another member and I went in on an order and I got this 20 year old Cantillon gueuze for my part.Do people actually use that site?
