Did a Fou Foune 12-18 vert last night. 12 still holding up well but 14,15,16 were all drinking wonderfully with 14>16>15 being my order for top 3. 18 was lacking carb but the fruit was wonderful. 13 continues to be a loser for me, almost had a smoked flavor to it and before we even opened it you could see it appeared noticeably different in the bottle.

Snow days in NC don’t usually come this early in the winter season.

Slightly worrying reports that this year’s De Dag van der Lambiek was very poorly attended (a couple of dozen turned up according to some tweets I’ve seen). Clearly in part down to the brutal weather this week but still not good to hear.

'12 getting too sour yet? I have one but I am worried it's gonna be 2.0 PH

‘14 Fou was the best vintage of Fou I’ve tried, great stuff

I was on my way but my GF got sick while in the car and last years event wasn't very popular either. Might have been better on sunday when people assume that the place is open

Assemblage 21. Much better. Rounder, deeper funk, musty basement, tart but not sharp, slight lemon rind, nearly perfect nose. Between this and 2015 A&G, I could drink happily ever after in terms of recent 3F-only geuze.

A notably awesome blend... I wonder how many I have hidden from myself in a friend's basement.

What did you unprepared mofo's get?

Looks like around 7-9 inches before the transition to sleet/freezing rain.

Really love this beer. It’s pretty remarkable what the different cherries do to this beer. If only it were easier to obtain. Love the subtle cinnamon notes I get from the Schaarbeekse cherries. Extremely well balanced with just a perfect amount of tartness.

So your city is basically shut down.

Sorry to dig this up again, but is anyone still waiting on Cantillon bottles from BIAB? Starting to doubt the process. Sent my request to Kurt on Oct 5th, no word since :(

Does anyone know how reservations work with BiAB? I filled up a box with 2 orders over that last few weeks and sent several messages through the website to request a shipping invoice. I know they are busy and it can take some time, I just wanted to make sure I am following the correct method as I have never used their reservation system, thanks!

You email them and then wait. They used to be pretty damn on top of things, but it seems as if they have let their customer service slide way too far.

Not to stoke the fire of uncertainty but I read a great thread on the .info FB that was left off with Kurt basically ignoring people now.

I mean, define "used to". I went through this same crap with BiaB years ago.

I think the longest I ever waited for a response was a week and that was usually when I was requesting some kind of custom order from him. It sucks that things have taken such a terrible dive lately. It pretty much just leaves us with Etre for bottle pick ups, although they do a fantastic job of that and are 100x better at communicating. When BiaB get's no business from the next Cantillon sale maybe Kurt will start to take notice.

My guess is he doesn't care. It's been obvious that his service is hurting is business for a loooooong time and it hasn't changed. He's probably fine with being smaller.
