For anyone whose Etre/BiAB packages went through JFK recently, how long did it take for them to clear and move on to the post office?

Man I hope they made a ton of Brabantiae. The original bottling was fantastic a few years ago.

I remember unloading a lot of barrels, 20+ ish, most were useable and filled over the next 2 days.

Thousands of liters of lambic were lost across the amount of port barrels, so I wouldn’t expect a tonnnnn of bottles.

I read on lambic.info they bought 50 500 liter barrels. If all of that was used for brabantiae that should produce quite a number of bottles. Accounting for 50% loss that would amount to 16k bottles.

After the **** loss, we’re looking at 2, maybe 3 barrels of Brabantiae at best.

Wife and I went on a camping trip for two weeks and thought I would spoil us a bit with some great Lambic. Pics and notes below:

Lightly carbed. Lots of fruit on the plate, medium to high acidity and perfect levels of funk. Pulls together well and pretty well balanced.

Least carbed of the three. Trademark Tilquin funk. Sourness through the palate and light fruit. Plenty of oak. I liked it but probably the least of the three.

This is such a stunning beer. Subtle carb and sourness, balancing funk and nice sweetness from the grapes. Oak rides throughout the palate. My only regret is not buying more. ISO.

Poor picture but this is Tilquin Mure. Had this ages ago and forgot how damn good it is. This was nicely carbed and bursting with fruit. Funk and acidity were there but this was a real showcase of the fruit. Damn good.

2017 Hommage. This was straight up sour jam. Amazing depth of flavour and complexity. We followed this up with a bottle of fresh RdG. I love RdG and it was really jammy but after drinking the Hommage it was quite one dimensional. Really brought the depth and complexity of the 3F to the fore.

2017 (Dec?) Vig. Freshest Vig I have had before. I love this beer so much. I think it is pushing into my top Cantillon bracket tbh. Perfectly balanced and loaded with fruit.

August 2018 bottle. Easily the freshest Fou I have had and quite different to any (in a good way). Very lightly carbed. Past bottles I have had have had quite high carbonation. This was the most fruit forward Fou I have had easily. Apricot all the way through but the fruit lingered on a very long palate. The fruit gave it some sweetness but it was balanced with a light funk and medium acidity. So good! If any have their Cantillon boxes, I would definitely open one asap.

More seriously, Shelton Brothers brought over kegs of last year's Cuvee, so you may see bottles in any of the places you see their regular imports. We've had draft of Cuvee 2017 in Seattle in the last few weeks at Slow Boat and The Masonry. If you know a Shelton rep, or are tight with a bottle shop or bar that has Shelton stuff, ask them if they can order it.

similar to draft in my opinion but still as lovely as ever. the rhubarb really softens the raspberries making for a more enjoyable form of LPF in my opinion. hopefully Monks puts these back out slowly over the years so we can see how they age! SeaWatchman

How was the crowd? I thought about making the trip from Harrisburg, but it was tough to justify since I had plenty on tap at Zwanze. Was mostly curious if there was any discernible difference between tap and bottle, and you suggest not really.

On Monk's website it shows up on their available bottles list. So I may have to pop in this weekend while I'm in Philly, if it's still available.
