Grabbed some beers for dishwashing the other day, pulled three bottles in a row of 2012 3F. Guess that is a sign to drink one

I'm available to help with dishes if needed...

Local place got a shipment of tilquin in which includes geuze, quetsche and mure.

It got me thinking, and ****, I havent consumed anything by Tilquin in about 3 years. I think now is the time to remedy this. If bottles last until friday (lol who am i kidding) I might swing by and buy some.

But then I saw how much they are per bottle...
$27-30 per 375ml

Are you ******* serious clark?

And while im on the bitching and groaning spree about pricing. I think this is the first time I noticed the price flip flop of 3f OG now being more expensive than A&G. (per etre gourmet pricing)
Yaaaa, local place got the same shipment in. Asked for one of each. $83

Edit: just reread that. I got 750's of each. $27-30 for a 375???!

That's above the high end of what I've seen for quetsche/mure, but welcome to PA beer taxes... we get good distro but get ****** by the tax laws or whatever. I've bought $34 Tilquin geuze 750s and $22 girardin 375s

In general PA is bad, but it’s much worse in the 5 counties. Outside of the Philly area I have paid much more reasonable prices for lambic.

Charlotte area seems to get more than the triangle. Can you confirm that much?
My contact works right across the SC border, but charlotte area still. Thing is, yea Charlotte probably does get more, but I've walked into places like Sams and found tilquin that had been long gone in the CLT area, and at a good price taboot. Rarely do you see Tilquin on shelves in CLT anymore, but we probably do get more. I assume that at least one or two shops in the Raleigh area will get pinot and gris if history is any indicator. They will probably get a couple bottles at a couple shops in CLT but I'd bet they are all sold out within hours (except Rhino) ...****, my honey hole has been exposed. I'd ask someone like Sam if you are friends with him. I just know its about a month out and one store in SC near the border will be getting some for sure.

While we're on the topic, here's some pinot I poured the other night. Poured as hard as I could lol, no carb but better now than when it was released imo. Complex, refreshing, perfect level of sourness. I'll definitely be searching for more tilquin grapes.

Really enjoyed the lavender honey blend despite the low carb. Curious to see what the other bottles are like.

I have one bottle of this blend and having one of those drink it/save it dilemmas. I should probably just open the damn thing so I know if I want more before they become too obscure? Not really looking for feedback here, just talking into air...

I know im an outlier here but lack of carb in lambic is something I greatly prefer. I wish there were more options available to purchase still lambic.

Also, that bee sticker on the label made me chuckle... is that a new thing they are doing whenever honeybadger lambic is in the blend?

- DIY still lambic -
1) pour
2) wait
3) drink still lambic

But also... asked my friend that brought home the linden lavender honey haul if he'd opened any. His was overcarbed, and I saw another pic on untapped that seemed to be quite carbed as well. He also mentioned it was quite sour and they preferred the b54 they had next to it. Anyone else have more data points?

Had it on site... it was heavily carbed and very sour.
