This morning and went quick. A friend scooped a set and it was gone before he could finish texting me the link.

yeah that was me. i was gonna post the link but it either sold out quick or got posted real early and i woke up late haha. i think i bought it around 8:15am

had this 2014 last night - perfect carb, still very fruity and not overwhelmingly sour. good funk as it warmed up - the last one I had was sour as crap already, and they were stored inches from each other in my 55* garage. weird!

I had this one as well (my first), and I'm sad to say I didn't like it as much. Tasted quite sour to me — along the lines of West Ashley, which also wasn't really my thing. I was hoping for more of a gueuze character, but to my surprise, it was dominated by an AWA-like sour/vinegary streak. Not much fruit left, though more as it warmed up. Was hoping for more in-your-face fruity sweetness to contrast with the sourness, like I tasted in last year's Peche 'n Brett, but I guess almost two years in there's not much hope for that. I hope I can find a fresh one this year.

Damn man, that's awful!

You can have one of my 375s waiting for me in Belgium. Won't have them stateside until mid-October if you don't mind waiting. Just let me know!

Whoa dude! I appreciate the offer but I'm not all that worried about it. There's always a gamble shipping, especially to South Texas. Leave it to talk beer people to try and do something crazy generous. You're awesome.

Have any of you had experience using BIAB shipped to California? Or any of the Belgium buying sites, not sure how LAX customs is. Looking to try more gueuze without bugging my liquor store guy

I got 3 GBs shipped in a box and all 3 leaked like crazy. Very weary of shipping 375s from 3F now.
Have you or anyone else had problems with 750's from 3F? So far all that's been mentioned are 375's. I assume both would be the same as far as risk.

I only ordered 3F OG once or twice from overseas and they were all fine but they were 750's and it wasn't as hot as it is now.

Not that I can remember with 750s.

Those 375 A&G bottles are extremely carbonated, dangerous stuff. After I opened one I figured I would not try to send them anywhere by mail...

You were gonna drink it right away anyways right?! So it doesn't matter, cheers!

Yep! Getting drank tomorrow once the yeast settles a bit.

Cork removed itself basically as the cage came off. I'm not great at reviews. But 3f OG is my all time favorite go to beer. This is really good. Got that fresh 3f lemons pop but some nice Dusty dryness. Pillowy carb and not too funky. Funk lingers nicely though.

I had to. Creamier carb on the a&g, a lot more "soft" on the flavor profile. An interestingly slightly higher bitterness on the a&g.

Idk they're both great beers. Drink them.

If this is the future of 3f lambic only in the blend, we're all gonna make it bros.

Now you only have 32 OG left to drink :/

ISO: 11/27 <3

11/27/13? That was an awesome batch, if so. I might have a couple left (not sure). Your birthday or just partial to that batch?

Another awesome batch of Lambic is the 12/28/15 batch of Cantillon Kriek. I don't know how it tastes, but it's ma birfday so it has to be good...

I've only got 12/20/15 or I'd send you one.

I have one of the 12/28s. It was a pleasant surprise when I looked at the bottling date, since it was my 30th birthday. Maybe I'll save it until my 50th birthday and enjoy a 20 year old Lambic...

(or I'll probably open it on a random weekend when I've already had way too many beers. Either way.)
