Had another small glass of Zenne tonight from a share - decanted so the carb was light and the aroma was thick and nutty. Third time of trying and each time makes me value the bottles in the cellar a bit more... Developed a lot since the open beer days. Those lols about Etre doing €50 bottles - I'd drive to Beersel tomorrow for another one at €50. Or €100. (Fuel is cheap right now)

I'm in love with these bag in a boxes, Timmermans especially

I'm waiting for lambic.info branded condoms. Get them covered in some barnyard horse blanket if ya know what I mean ;)
For those of you who've drank a Blossumgueze, did you decant it similar to Mamouche, or go straight from the bottle to the glass?
I'm curious if anyone has tried the new DHVL/Lindemans Goedeles Bloesom. I wonder if it's similar to Blossomgeuze.

€50 in house at Moeder :D Agree that is developing nicely! Waiter said it was the last bottle, not sure if they will get more

When where you there? We've ordered a bottle at moeder yesterday (16 feb)

And all that decanting is just full of ****. It's just beer...

A friend opened a 1999 Bell Vue Selection last night at a bottle share with a number of TB members (hannydawg, fear025, trickytunadicky, dvelcich among others), and while it is always fun to open up 16-17 year old lambic, I'm really glad I didn't give in to temptation these past few months when they were popping up on etre and BIAB.

Oxidized, acetic, and had turned a dark amber color with little to no carbonation. Interesting to try, but far from good.

Yeah I'm glad I asked a few friends before I committed to it. They had the same notes from 2-3 years ago.

one with me about a month ago. it smelled like amazing fresh fruit but didn't have too much going on yet. little thin and hardly no funk but its carbed! and it shows great signs of improvement!

You think it's worth picking up a few bottles?

Dated 22nd May, 2014. Really good balance here between the funk, acidity, and fruit. Carbonation is spot-on, this is a great drink right now.

Had one last night date 18 Jan 2015. Really light and jammy. Not a lot of funk on this yet. A little early to drink if looking for funk but just a really light and fruity right now. I have two more w/ the same bottling date so Im excited to see how they durn out in a year or two

Also bottle log on lambic.info says 1/19/15. Can put a photo of the bottling date up but the three bottles I have are 1/18/15. Not sure if it matters
*Edit* It looks like the 1/19/15 bottles are all 750s and the 1/18/15 bottles I have are 375's.

Added 1/18. Our 3F Kriek bottle log is very, very incomplete as it wasn't being tracked prior to the site!

BI know some people have claimed they've had good bottles, but I'm batting 3/3 on bad bottles of b2 Hommage.

2/2 on good bottles personally. Wondering what #3 in my cellar will be like. (I also wonder a little bit what the range of sensitivity on plasticy phenols is, maybe I'm just lucky and not that sensitive to it?)

That's true. I think my palate is very sensitive to the majority of off-flavors. Diacetyl is probably the toughest for me to detect, unless there's a lot of it.

I feel I'm pretty sensitive unfortunately. :(
I get it in a lot of lambics where other people in the group don't smell it at all.

Interesting. I feel like I'm relatively sensitive to diacetyl, and definitely to acetone. I'll have to try to pay attention more at tastings when it comes to plastic, whether that's somewhere I'm relatively insensitive.

Was the bottle count on Blåbær significantly less this year? Lambic.info says there were only 60 75cl bottles released of 2015. It's usually more than that right? like low hundreds? I'm just trying to put a trade offer together but I'm not sure where to start.

2014 and 2015 both had very low bottle counts due to the poor blueberry harvest I believe.

"Bottle count" and "release count" are two very different things methinks.
