I'm headed into business with some friends that want to distill. I make the best beer amongst us, and they want me to be heavily involved in making the liquor. However, I barely know anything about that process. I can make beer for days, but liquor blending and whatnot is another story. Is there a reputable forum like HBT for distillers?

*I swear this is 100% legal and legitimate. Nobody wants to make nasty ol' hooch. I'm just ignorant.*

fwiw, it was only a couple of years back (if that) that discussing distillation was a bannable offense here...

Cheers!
Eek! If this is a problem, let me know! I just want to get my head around it since I can't practice it until licensure goes through.

In that case, you might want to have a look at The Craft Distillers' Handbook by Ted Bruning. It's very UK-centric, and since at least half of setting up a distillery is all the licensing and tax stuff that may not seem very relevant to what you're doing, but it will at least get you asking the right questions of your local licensing and tax authorities, and gets you thinking about some of the usual gotchas like what waste you can put down the drains.
