It is a Peruvian fermented beverage made from primarily corn, which in the past was chewed to convert the starch. I did not chew anything for this! I used a little 6 row.

I used guava nectar in mine and azacca hops in the whirlpool, with a little luck I’ll get it bottle primed tonight.

I've seen this on the discovery channel or create channel now that you explain it. I thought at that time that there's no way in hell I'm going to drink that but in retrospect you have to go with what you have to work with. Interesting.

Modern methods are to use malted corn no more chewing, except at dogfish head. ;)
 
What is it? It's certainly not to style.


i brew to taste not style, not like i'm trying to sell it....so it's a 'dark' beer....or i could say it in german to make it sound catchy like the last post Schwarzbier......

just pitched yeast and gluco to an 'amber'....
