Hmmm, should probably go snag some bottles of DDC
The sad thing is with the Chicago beer scene (as you know) that I don't think there is a single bomber for $6 from a local brewery. Not a single dipa bomber, any style!Fremont puts their fantastic Double/Imperial IPA 'The Brother' in cans and bombers. The price? $5.99 at stores for a bomber, $12 for a 4 pack of 12 oz. cans. DDC in bombers at $10+? No thanks.

On sale at Target right now, by the way. Well, at the Elston/Logan one anyway.
I figured, but I couldn't resist posting thatI guess I was thinking the smaller guys (everyone but GI or Lagunitas), but yes Lagunitas has several bombers at or below $6.
Sounds about right based on the last time I was through a TJs.i think its 7.99 at Trader Joes....? dont quote me on that tho
And I know it's NW Indiana, but close enough...I almost **** myself right there in the 18th St. taproom when I found out their Grapefruit Dead DIPAThe sad thing is with the Chicago beer scene (as you know) that I don't think there is a single bomber for $6 from a local brewery. Yeah, they're definitely not pricing it with their immediate locals in mind. That's 18th Street in general. Prices are way high compared to better alternatives (that are priced right).

One of these days Fremont WILL make it into distro in Chicago. When that day comes, I'm excited to see the impact (if any) of reasonably priced quality offerings from a non-humongous player (read, Laguinitas) on the market.
As for the comment about DESTIHL's ridiculous 500ml pricing, I would be very interested to hear from a brewery rep or other knowledgeable industry source as to how those prices were set.
Did they have more today? I checked yesterday, looked like just a bunch of Allagash & Vandermill left in the liquor clearance area. I wasn't surprised, since some loudmouth broadcasted it on CCBE a few days ago. They also have Oude Tart for $14.99. They are sharing the sku with some unrelated wine for some reason.

Yeah, that's where it was in the pic that was posted. Bummer.Oh I'm not sure, I meant to post it here but forgot. I saw it a couple weekends ago in the first corral when you walk in near the left side of the store. It was near the Allagash Black and Four. That whole store is just a mess ... there is booze everywhere and nothing is organized.
In other news, there's 4.5 cases of overpriced Hopslam at the Foremost Liquors at Ashland & Wellington. So if anyone didn't stock up already, the world is your oyster for the low, low price of $18/pack![]()
