Same price as Binny's. Went up $2 this year.In other news, there's 4.5 cases of overpriced Hopslam at the Foremost Liquors at Ashland & Wellington. So if anyone didn't stock up already, the world is your oyster for the low, low price of $18/pack![]()

Cans currently in Windy City's posession, but they're waiting on word from Surly on how to handle allocations. Should start hitting shelves fairly soon, but expect small amounts that'll vanish quickly.Hmmm ... Jerry's Wicker Park just tapped Abrasive ... but where are all the cans?! (They also have Bourbon County Barleywine on tap.)
As I haven't gone out looking for any this year, what are folks seeing Hopslam priced at?
I thought $16-$18 was the standard price for it in Chicagoland.

True, I guess that is only $2 more than I paid at Trader Joe's. In hindsight, that's probably not the worst markup for a corner liquor store.yeah, this is what it's always cost in recent memory. but i give no ***** about hopslam this year. too much galaxy ipa in my kegerator to care.

... into my mouth.
Will trade TB tanx for 4pk.
Speaking of $5 bombers, I just picked up 4 Incorrigbles for $5.50 a piece as well as a Blue Sunday for $9(which btw I think is underpriced?) The place also had Dino smores and Sucaba still on the shelf, a paradise among a #newmoney wasteland.
At where? I need dat snores for a trading partner
Da burbs, Prestige Liquors in Countryside, 55th and Willow Springs.
fetch me suuuuuummmmpKenosha FIBman's has piles & piles of Enigma & Scream, and a case of Perennial Sump behind the counter, but alas, no more CW BBBW.

Back story on 2 Bros?If the people at Two Brothers thought I was an idiot snob for not wanting a 4 month old IPA then I can only imagine what they'd say to you guys balking at one month
Are you in the city? If they let me buy more than one, I can bring you one for cost.fetch me suuuuuummmmp
I bought a keg of Sidekick from them last weekend and when I got it home I realized it was kegged on 10/21/14. Got mad and called to bitch and had to explain to the guy 3 times that I was aware it wasn't out of date. He finally yields and says I can return it so I drive down the next day. Bring in the keg and the bar staff asks why I'm trying to return it so I explain several more times as the wait staff tells me that it is totally fine as they scoff and give each other looks like I'm crazy. Eventually they get the manager and he yields and lets me return it since I was already told I could on the phone. He explained that its just as old as the beer they serve on tap at the brewery and that it's fine but if I really want to return it then fine.Back story on 2 Bros?

TLDR; 2 Brothers serves 4 month old IPAs at their brewery and doesn't understand why someone might not be happy about that.
I will always have a very important place in my heart for Two Brothers, which was probably the first "craft" brewery I developed a loyalty for. The first time I sipped Northwind around 2002 or so, it pretty much changed my life. And I carried a very heavy torch for Domaine Dupage for many years. Two Brothers confounds me. Their logo use to be neat and now it's a swirl with bad typography. Their packaging use to be interesting and now it's all generic and difficult to tell one beer from another at a quick glance. What's with the brewery in Arizona? Most of their beers are pretty meh too...

Maybe they just didn't understand why you kept calling Sidekick an IPA.TLDR; 2 Brothers serves 4 month old IPAs at their brewery and doesn't understand why someone might not be happy about that.

Im going to play devils advocate here. Though I think 4 months is too long as well, keg quality =/= bottle quality in terms of time. If kegs are stored properly, they can last for a couple months. I bought a 3 month old keg of Omnipollo Fatamorgana for NYE and it was just as good as every bottle I've had of it. I would probably be hesitant around the 4 month mark as well (I was hesitant about the 3 month), but it wouldnt be unheard of for it to still be good.
