hey guys i'm new to brewing and i am just finishing up my first elderberry wine in memory of my grandpa, and i had an interesting idea for my next project.

So once a week my friends and i get together and play d&d. In one of our sessions my character was the last person standing to going head to head in a drinking contest with a being who almost cant get alcohol poisoning. In the last round he pulled out a flask of his own "special brew". It was described as being sweet to the taste but feeling cold on my tongue (despite being slightly above room temperature).

So finally my question does anyone know how to achieve the cold throat effect of mint or menthol in a brew, through such means as mint or menthol? i want to make this a special occasion drink for my group so i am open to any suggestions.
