Weight is much more accurate than volume. Especially with sugars that can be of different densities depending on humidity, etc. It's a lot easier to prime the whole batch instead of doing each bottle separately.

If you don't have a bottling bucket then go for the separate bottling.

I would only ever hand load with a scale also. Not that those are bad measures for powder. I just like my loads to be really consistent.

I have a bottling bucket, just seems some are more carbonated than others.
