Brewed up a wit last week and I am wondering if it is done fermenting or not. OG was 1.040 because I missed my efficiency a bit but it want supposed to be very strong anyway. For the last 3 days the gravity has read 1.014.... however over the last few days my airlock has showed signs of life albeit very little. Talking a bubble every fI've minutes probably. Was thinking this should go down to 1.010? Oh and I'm using WLP400

Not sure if you saw the thread that I posted yesterday, but my Belgian Wit with WLP400 was supposed to be bottled yesterday which was the two week point, but I'm still getting bubbling through the blowoff tube. I've never seen this happen before, so I'm guessing that it just takes the WLP400 longer to hit FG than other strains.

It very well may. I'm not getting much bubbling but the pressure is still there in the airlock. No krausen and my gravity has been the same for a few days....... slow yeasties

Well my gravity is still at 1.014. That is 5-6 days straight. Going to bottle this mother I guess

Did u try raising the temp? Put it in a warmer place for a few days and give the bucket a gentle swish to get the yeast back in suspension

Don't have much of a warmer place... it's warm in the house (near 75 degrees). I guess I can see if swirling the yeast does anything.

Just in case the yeast is working slowly, take your next SG sample after the beer has been in the fermentor for sixteen days. Give the fermentation time.

This is the 12th day of fermentation. I guess I am used to my other beers finishing within 5 days using us-05. I did however conclude that my SG readings may be a bit skewed. When I measured my OG I didn't check the temperature of the wort which could have skewed my OG by a bit. In reality it could have been slightly higher and my beer has now finished where it was supposed to.
