715 yards at sea level! Thats huge even for thedude. That course looks nice. Really nice. 15 holes? Member?

Cool pianoman, good luck!

I thought mt. Massive in ledville was highest course. I guess ledville is at 10 k and the course is lower. This course is off i 70 at copper mountain ski area. A real pete and perry dye grinder. Anyways as promised heres the box. It was nothing dramatic. One pic looks at it, the other is from the whites. We hit from the blues and i damn near put it on at 309 into the wind. I think the pros could put irons on it. We wanted it to be on top of a hill or something.
Edit 3g will have to post later
2nd edit apparently they did post 20 times sorry. Miss lte. The final pic is of the box its to the right by pole.

Wholly crap, I might have an interview in Malta, NY. I found a store that carries Bell's, Brooklyn, but have to drive for Heady. Any beer suggestions for the area?

Yep- Ithaca brewing makes good IPAs and have Some good sours, flower power IPA is solid; sixpoint has some good hoppy beers, I.e resin and Bengali; captain Lawrence sour beers are fantastic but I am not a fan of their hoppy beers, too sweet; some other good Vermont beers that are available outside of Vermont are otter creek brewing; you can get Lawson's sip of sunshine; I think you can get lost nation and rock art too; Berkshire brewing from Massachusetts makes some good beers; I have seen lots of allagash from Portland Maine in New York and their sours are very good; Kent falls brewing from Kent,ct are available over that way and they make some good sour/farmhouse beers.

Just mashed in on my Alt

As per Gavin's science brew recommendations, I went 50/50 Munich pilsner malt and I'm doing a protein rest before a 147F mash temp

It smells like I need a beer

I really need to brew something. I think I've got 6 HB hefe's that I forgot about that have been aging in Texas heat garage (brewed almost a year ago). Mmm. [emoji15]. Tried a couple this weekend after a few days in the fridge. Surprisingly not completely horrible. Has kind of developed a champagne like carbonation.

Wife was good to me today. Also a 6er of mirror pond, and a 24 pack of Miller lite (not worth wasting a picture) to keep on stock for when my dad and in-laws stop by.

Hope you all have had a good weekend! Those golf temps in the CO mountains really sound nice right now here in N. Tx!

Or more importantly, wipe your own ass.

Haha

Sounds out of touch. I though the New England guys were the ones who seemed to have perpetuated the style. They seem to be chasing.

I thought this too. We are always a year behind the coasts styles it seems.

@brewinbromanite yeah golf temp was so awesome, it was cold last night. Your wife has great taste.

My 1st thought, too. Although, with a 15 month old and a nearly 4 year old, wiping asses seems to be too frequently a topic of discussion...

Why yes, yes she does. And not just because she may see this post.

I gotcha P

Watched the open earlier today. Great final round to watch. Incredible stuff.

Beautiful day here. Had a beer and napped in the sun after playing around in the garden all morning with the littlest one. Solid Sunday. Brewed a small stout yesterday. Life is good. Can't complain.

Congrats man, but you'd better tell me if your address changes

Madking-Sounds like it will be awesome. I admire your effort, from research to measuring to conception. I'm going to make a helles or something. I'm realizing that you can save some money with lagers, etc.. there is just not that much in there. I mean compared to an IPA with 14 ounces of hops if you want different hops. Am I right in this thinking

Thanks man! I hate to waste a brew day, so I like to put in my research before I do anything. I get to drink more beer that way :mug:

Well IMO lagers don't save much money. They are a cleaner beer so I tend to buy higher quality ingredients (imported german pilsner malt, noble hops, etc) when tend to be more expensive. You can make a lager from cheap 2 Row and some aromatic and some willamette that won't be half bad, but I prefer the better ingredients.

If you want cheap, go with a Hefeweizen, or a SMaSH blonde with dry yeast.

Son got an upgrade in window. We switched the five-year-old GE into his bedroom and got a new LG. 8000 BTU it was $239. These window ones work really good and they'll certainly chill a room. I think the way to go is the little 5000 BTU jobs in each window in each room. They are cheap and im sure they will chill a room.
Playing skins game tomorrow with friends. Hope you get out pianoman. Don't understand how we don't get those great Austin beers up here

Morning! Had a date night with wife last night, and my parents kept the little ones over night. Cut out of work at 4 and not going in until after lunch today. I'm calling it a mini-vacation. Glorious sleeping in on a work day!
