Can't believe boom sauce made it out here. I hadn't heard that madKing, sad and heart breaking. Piano Man well said. I have a friend who gives me tickets to amateur and new professional MMA fights I need to call him.

2 youngest boys did an amateur mma fight in Florida a few years back. Youngest, 17 at the time, had a great fight but lost in the end to points. The fans boo'ed the winner. :)

Other boy played around too much, the other guy ended up taking him down.

Martial arts: I did judo for all of six months. Then summer hit, then I went to college. Now I'm too far from a dojo [emoji27]

That's a cool story pianoman. Talk about messing with the wrong family. My daughter i fear (wife not so much) could be the next ronda rousey. She is so cute and sweet but man she is tough. She really loves to drum though too. Like really loves it. No rudiments or nothing yet she just bangs away on them.

Awesome! Gently keep them on a path of something positive for their childhood...keep 'em busy!

Yeah I have been rolling around with them since they could crawl. One day I showed my son an outside ankle pick, my wife was like oh my God what is that. I responded it's no big deal it's just a little ankle pick. She says, what if he does that to somebody at school? And I start thinking, what if he does. So I decided to just roll around with them. My daughter loves to take her brother down, she wraps up both legs and drives. I didn't teach her that. She's got an incredible fight in her and great hips. Shes 3. He's 5 and has talent for wrestling but he's more likely to sing and dance on the stage than anything else. I can't even sit on the ground because they ambush me. They've figured out if one lays on my head and the other grabs legs, they can pester me. The problem is they're too big to be able to protect them both when we roll around and between my back and hips and knee now its hard to roll around with them. Yeah I guess Sunday is an interesting day in our house. We roll around and wrestle in the morning and I give them piano lessons in the afternoon.

Living in New England I've seen ipas up here transform from English style with fuggles and crystal malt, to west coast style to this new cloudy IPA. I enjoy them because of the full mouthfeel and they highlight hop flavor and aroma like no other beer; if done right they can still be dry, no crystal, great color and flavor. The ones I don't like are the ones they have clearly not finished fermenting and all you are getting is yeast slurry. I like the haze to come
From oats and wheat and a huge late hop addition. But they are super faddish right now.

I'm right in the middle of the worst starter disaster in my brewing career..

First changed recipes and accidentally ordered the wrong yeast from adventures in homebrewing

Then I ordered the correct yeast

They didn't pack it in ice

I live in Georgia

Its summer

8+ hours on the stir plate with no signs of activity

Wasn't worried and went to the store

Returned and spotted a fruit fly floating in it, I swore and fished it out

Still no signs of yeast activity and a likely acetobacter infection and $8 wasted

I'm going to have a beer

Go beer! and sorry for the HB issue. That's 'a' reason I don't do starters. Like brewing lighter beers first, then yeast cake it!

HB PA..and happy dog.

You could move back to the PNW;)

Brewed a hazy IPA today, simple grain bill, lots of hops, this has been the house IPA for close to two years, everyone likes it, I keep playing with it.

I used a yeast cake once on my RIS. Had activity on it in about 30 minutes [emoji41]

Soooo I have a packet of S-189 yeast in my fridge and I'm brewing an alt tomorrow... I'm considering the crazy idea of pitching the Swiss lager yeast and fermenting at 58 (near the top of its range)

This SHOULD result in a highly attenuated and clean beer with very mild esters similar to the 1007 that is now ruined

Thoughts oh wise sages?

I'm no Sage and i have never brewed a lager but i plan to at ale ferment temps. Based on that, what you are doing sounds perfect.

Finally off work. Now waiting for a haircut. Exciting Saturday. Looking forward to the beach tomorrow.

Greetings From vail. Its 74 deg. I think we are playing that highest Tee Box Piano Man I'll take a pic

Looks like you got some altitude there. 90+ degrees here with hazy hot and humid. Walked 15 holes in 2.5 hrs. 70' above sea level and 715 yds from the tips on this one. F'er greens keeper. Just water today and no cigar. Heart was happy
