Or that buster sword recplica i keep telling myself ill buy one day. Wait, unless you meant the mine?

Not the mine... I always wanted a pyramid head sword replica for days when I'm feeling ultra crazy. Could really have some fun walking through the cemeteries around my house like that when the weather is right. Though I'd probably get shot or arrested, it might be worth it.

Any of you buttholes ever own a portable boat? I'm talking about something that can be transported in trunk or on top of a car. Not a standard Kayak, but something that folds up. I am leery of inflatable boats, but what about something like this:

EDIT: the objective is to not drill holes in my vehicle...and I cannot use a trailer for my purposes. Ideas?

I throw my kayak on the roof of my car, or break the windshield putting it inside Swmbo's car. What exactly are you planning on using it for? My parents have a little row boat that can be a sailboat or motorboat, and it's small enough to go on top of a car. I think the brand was Oyster?

Maybe not the same brand etc... but yeah, close. I went fishing with him a few times. Would just pop the seats out, throw them in the trunk and strap the boat to the roof of his small SUV. We're both tall and it was a really comfortable fishing trip despite it being a little small. I'd get something like that, if it was me.

Just ask the question here and tag someone like passedpawn. He'll hook you up with the key to the boneyard and all the mysteries within.

Yeah I know, was just being a jerk. Pretty sure I've PM'd each mod once since I became a supporter for the article. Zero response. It's whatever. I only visit this thread anymore anyway.

I halps

@Yooper - could you please give @TheCADJockey access to the members only sections *cough* Boneyard *cough*?

Fishing on inland lakes. I probably would occasionally take it on "big waters" but stay close to shore. By big waters, I do not mean the ocean. I mean the great lakes system (Lake St. Clair, St. Clair River and/or Lake Huron).

I cannot trailer it because RV+Jeep+Trailer = illegal. On top of the car is a bit tricky because Jeep+summer= soft top. I could get a cage/safari package for the Jeep, but would prefer not to.

Anyone familiar with Reno? I'll have about 3 hours there until my wife gets there tomorrow night. Any recommendations? Not a fan of casinos.

My Dad had one of those. Ran it on a trolling motor for hours at a time. Only had to drag it about a mile up river one time before he just sold it to his neighbor or traded it for beer. I bet they work better in non-flowing bodies of water.

We did the same thing. Drove out to some little lake, carried it half a mile or so. Ran back for the beer and tackle boxes and just chilled on the lake for a few hours. Man. Now that I think about it, I need more of that **** in my life.

That is my exact point. More fishing with the boy this spring/summer would be nice. Would be a little easier with a little boat that could get me off the shore a little ways.

Same here. I think my grandpa still has his old styrofoam kayak in the barn. I'd need a kayak paddle though. I kayaked back in May and I'm still in shape enough for a fun run.

How heavy is it? Could I carry it short distances myself? Or at least unload it from the Jeep by myself? Boy is only 10...won't be much help with the heavy lifting.

Sounds like you need a new setup.

just pulled a 250k price for a job out of my ass. should be fun figuring out the programming for it, too. Eesh, hope there are some change orders on it or I could be in a bit of a pickle

How heavy is it?

100 pounds.

Could I carry it short distances myself?

It depends. What level are you and how many points did you put into strength? It might be a little awkward to carry by yourself, that's all. I'd highly suggest looking into this as an option. It's big enough that you could use a trolling motor like we did, or just pal around with some oars. Solid investment.

Any particular ones you have in mind?

You could do it as a giveway.

  • Visit Reno
  • Engage in nefarious activities with folks in the relaxation industry
  • Aquire bonus STD
  • Post carefully cropped pic of same
  • We guess what it is.
  • person who guesses correctly gets beer (sans herpes)

It's time to play......Name!, that!, lesion!

Apparently access to that sub forum is by invite only. It's an elite class of HBT that gets to visit. I'll likely get my access in the last hour of my second membership, not know it was granted and completely miss out. Seems to be how things are going lately.

It's not invite-only. I think I just asked Yooper for permission, and got it.

Now, I never go in there.
