Just registered for my first competition. Not expecting much. Hoping to do at least pretty well. Sending in an APA and an ESB.

I don't care about awards, I made the biggest improvement in my brewing due to a comment on a score sheet. I will try to enter at least one comp per year from now on, just for the feedback.

Skeeter Pee or something different?

It's actually from the Hard Lemonaid thread on HBT. Started making it over a year ago for everyone else as I really just like 8%+ DIPA or Stouts. It's pretty fool proof, have the recipe down for the family's taste, and just keep making it so tons laying around.

Clint how are you doing that? Just looks like a heavy scraper and elbow grease?

Never mind i should have kept reading. Note to self, rent the power tool when it comes time.

Any of you friendlies ever go to Dark Lord Day? I never have. Would like to but I think maybe I need to wait until next year.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the feedback more than anything. Though, this is through the largest homebrewing organization in Norway, and any members can get their beers "judged" at any time. It would be cool to win it, as the winner gets to brew with one of the bigger craft breweries here, Nøgne Ø. Although, all of their beers are just average. Then I believe that winners of each main category get to go on to the Scandinavian homebrewing championship.

Glum walk home after a few more pints and a 2-all draw. Keeps us in second place and allows Foxes to widen the gap and gain a good hold on the title. Shows how far we've come when I'm disappointed to be in 2nd lol

Pianoman brother, I have never even seen a JK bottle in person. WTH is up with you crazy peeps.

Beer list, not 100% sure what was sent..

P and 3c were brewed to be the yeast cake for the latest RIS. 5.25%. P is my 1st peanut butter and 3C is Cocoa Nibs/Chipote/cinnamon.

ML/L/R are different versions of the hard lemonaid. 6.5%

BB was a too bitter IS that I dumped some Makers Mark soaked/oak cubes. Might want to let it sit.. 7.5%

A blank cap is a Yellow Rose clone. 6.8%

IPA is a partiGyle cirta/simcoe/mosaic. 6.5%
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Coon in the house last night or has 77 just drank himself silly already? Taking bets now.

Coffee. Bout to go chill with some friends for a couple hours before starting brew day. Brewing two days in a row, win!

Bout to go get the 3 year old's ears pierced. Wish me luck... This could either go ok or really badly.

Contemplating a trip to treehouse a little later. Garage has been cleaned and onto swimming lessons.

First chance to gather with some family since my birthday...driving to Smithfield for lunch. Trying an interesting looking Mexican restaurant and then sending kids with SWMBO to a nearby outlet shopping area, while some of us go to Double Barley Brewery. I'll get a flight so I can try an assortment, if they do flights.

Wow congratulations on a new challenge. I met a guy once that was 30 years old and never learned to ride a bike. A couple of friends and I became determined to teach him. You never know when those lessons will come in handy. Stick to it!

Morning, I'm alive. Taking the kids to the park and golfing at Deer Creek today. Put strap on kids dresser this morning feel good about that.

This would have been a good day to do the Denver double ski and golf

My wife and I are developing the "F*** Yeah America" sandwich. It will be beef and American cheese with bacon instead of bread, no veggies, and delivered to you by a bald eagle driving a monster truck Hummer while shooting off fireworks.

Sounds better than tea and biscuits ;)

How far do you deliver?

Mroing all. Going to brew today. Still not sure what. I kind of want to just **** around and do a nondescript dark lager since I dont have the stuff to do a proper schwarz. Maybe just do one of my porters with noble hops and lager yeast. Psuedo baltic.
