Had a couple 7% beers at lunch with my brother, along with chicken and ribs. I'm ready for a lazy afternoon. Going to spend 15 minutes dropping the kids off at the pool and play euchre on my phone.

Did you know they make a bourbon that is treated in barrels that have previously held Dragon's Milk? Its pretty unique

It's not bad...you can pick up some of that malty stout character. I'm fresh out ATM, but the next time I buy some I'm going to soak oak chips in it and add to a batch of HB...so I can call it "Beer Barrel Bourbon Barrel Beer."

Other two packages I sent, one to @allenH, might be a while. Departing in the future. Guess I should have paid for quicker ship time! :)

Scheduled Delivery:
Tuesday, 08/03/2016, By End of Day
Last Location:
Departed - Lake Charles, LA, United States, Friday, 04/03/2016

Berkshire actually partners with regional and well known brewers to buy back barrels for use of secondary cask finishing with their bourbon

Cigar City had one, Troegs had one, Founders had one...they keep moving around with it. Its been a while since I've seen one, but would love to try it again.

The glass behind your can looks like a pink liquid, I was assuming Strawberry nesquick or something like that.

Ohhhhh... I'm sorry, the answer we were looking for was 'Stupidly over-priced candle we didn't need.'

Thanks for playing.

Also, speaking of founders... they had the Spectra Trifecta on tap at the bottle shop. The dude explained it to me and I was all, 'Hell no, I don't want to try that.'

Guy pours one for me anyway. Yep... terrible. Thanks.

I think it would be "Bourbon Barrel Beer Barrel Beer" Beer

Did you rescue a perfectly good sandwich from somebody's aquarium? Whats with the shrubbery, Brophalactic?

Sandwich? You don't recognize scotch eggs? Disappointing. ;)
And as for the greenery, I'm assuming they wanted to offset the brown and white.

aaaa yea, now I see it. It looks like soggy rye at first. Sadly, I just had my first Scotch Egg like three years ago. I couldn't believe I'd been missing out on a life time of them.

NHC entries labeled and ready to go. Dropping them off at SingleCut tonight. Good excuse to visit a brewery I haven't been to yet.

How the hell does the thread that shall not be named keep popping to the top of my unread threads? I haven't been subscribed in two months and haven't typed anything since then either.
