Going to look at a house tomorrow night.

It's farther out than I want, but it's not ****in 350k like every other home here so I can throw a 20% down payment on it and have a reasonable mortgage. It was posted last night and already has an offer! Market here is ridiculous. Asked if it was worth looking into, realtor said the offer they received required a pretty strict close date, while the sellers don't have a house lined up yet. I'm renting and my lease is up next month, could easily go month-to-month here and wait for a couple months on that. So now I guess I need to assemble some paperwork and get preapproval on a mortgage.

Still not sure we'd want to live that far out though. My work would be a 25 min commute, wife's almost 40. Also not too hip of an area at all, although it's wine country so beautiful rolling hills and all that.

By the time I got caught up this morning, the east coasters were already waking up! This one's a fast-moving train - and I like it.

All these damned awesome craft beer pics make me so jealous. And curious as to how much I'm missing out on. I didn't really get into craft until I moved here, and there really isn't much that's even above average here, even though there's a ton of breweries in this country considering its size. (See pics)

I can get some stuff at the government-run liquor store, but I don't really wanna waste money on anything hoppy that's coming from the states. Weirdly enough, they do carry a wide selection of Prairie, but they're even over-priced in Tulsa.

Nor would I wanna imagine the costs of shipping anything overseas...

Plan is to visit the US over Christmas, so hopefully I can get some good ones then. Especially if they finally bring OK into the 21st century, and allow stronger than 3.2% to be sold in the grocery stores, and cold beer to be sold in the liquor stores.

I will be visiting Prague at the end of the month as an anniversary trip. So that should be cool. First evening there, we're doing this little microbrewery tour. Then, we're planning on hitting up the local craft beer pubs the next two nights after that.
