It's called gravity.

I lift cold water for mash and sparge, heat and then gravity feed, but there is nothing like having a burner balanced on a rickety stand that threatens to come crashing down in a strong wind, followed by 7-11 gallons on scorching hot water.

Actually, getting in a pump is next in my brewing agenda, right after actually brewing a beer for the first time in 3 months...

I actually have a pump. Forgot to buy the fittings and its still sitting in its box unloved. Maybe some day I will realize what fittings I need and buy them so I can use it.

Oh, they will boot me at jury selection, little doubt about that (attorneys don't like attorneys sitting on their juries, as a general matter). I was trying to not have to show up for that part.

I am still pondering what to send you. I could send you the coffee stout that my volumes were way off on so it came out more as a slightly watery coffee porter. Nah, cant do that to you. I will figure something better out. I have some ideas.

Yuck. My bike is like my brewing. It helps me relax and makes me happy. Do you want me to be unhappy? Luckily I dont get much of the concerned "you need to sell your bike" from the women I date. Then again I dont have a SWMBO so I probably have no room to talk.

Wait. You said your GF is doing this. She is aware that you have had your bike for a while and enjoy it. Have you told her of close calls recently or has there been something on the news about people getting hit and killed? Sounds suspect to me. Someone has been poisoning her against motorcycles.
